the guard himself challenged "subconscious complacency."

may we approach tomorrow's game with such resolve. our opponent is a dangerous, wounded animal deserving of respect.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

Gotta run em off the 3pt line man...they will keep
Shooting em, it's their only offense but we could make it tougher for em. Would also help if we don't get off to such a slow start, I think Brunson and co will be ready tomorrow they know what's at stake, HUGE difference between 3-1 and 2-2 and they know this, KP still won't do much, Horford is old as sh*t and will be more tired after just 1 day rest. Gonna at them, get the switch of Horford onto Brunson and let him Do what he does and Hart please stop hesitating,
Shoot the shot. We got this

the guard mikal says human nature may have gotten to them a bit. pit that against the life or death approach we saw from the celtics. they're wearing timbs and chirping a little bit now.

only one thing left to do.

praise be.

Gotta punch em in the mouth early tomorrow, throw the kitchen sink at them just like Indi did to clev tonight. Team is mentally fragile and if we go up early they will fold, go up 3-1 and it's nearly done.

Start Mitch. Now Huk is available (or did I dream that?), have Mitch-Huk = 48min

Josh rotates in to divide time with OG, Bridges and maybe a little of KAT - who should take more 3s and post up deeper - and yes there will be congestion down low with Mitch-Huk in the dunkers spot - but confusion should be points for a cerebral player like the Big Bodega. And Brunson can get some relief from Delon - who's absolutely servicable for that role, rather than a little bit of a reach like Payne. And Deuce can do cover for the wings if foul trouble/injury/...

Now, Thibs is a maniac and should have had time in the reg season to make Tyler and maybe Pacome options for the 4-8min bench roles. But that ship has sailed for this year.

If I was Leon I'd still sack Thibs this afternoon and hire Tiago Spiltter.

Perhaps Precious over Hukporti.

In any event, I approve of starting Mitch so that fouling him early in a quarter is self-defeating for the Celtics. As soon as they’re over the limit, take Mitch out.

Here’s an analysis of the defensive adjustments the Celtics made against us in Game 3. Mitch should start with Hart off the bench. IMHO

Yup, not like they gonna purposely get in the penalty rite off the first tip lol, it's ABUNDANTLY clear he should be starting and not just for that reason, the team will get off to a better start defensively as well. All hands on deck, all those wins, all those minutes, comes down to tomorrow nights game 4

mpharris36 wrote:I know it will never happen and taking out Hart will suck in other areas. But I think its so vital to start game 4 off well offensively. That you need to have McBride play more with the starters. We need to force Mazzulla's hand to either put Horford on KAT (which he won't). Or put Horford on Mcbride/OG/Bridges...

that way when we run the Brunson P&R with KAT or a KAT post up they won't be able to help or they will get an open 3 pt shot.

We will lose size and will probably be killed on the glass. But I think tis vital to get off to a better start offensively. That has been the biggest issue.

My mother passed away last year, so I made my retired dad move in with me and he was one of those dads...hard worker, hardly saw him, so I wanted him to be with me so I can take care of him. To get closer and bond, he's gotten into basketball. He watches NBA with us, goes to my son's games, comes to see me coach. As a South Asian immigrant father, the only praise he's ever given me even though I got good grades, never in trouble, held good jobs, decent husband and father.....was my coaching. He loves what I do and how I do it, he sees it in the kids' eyes when they listen to me and go out and do something that works. 5 league championships, three straight, with numerous kids doing well in their development and going on to land spots on college teams helps me puff my chest with a little pride as well, something that really impresses him. The happiness and wow I saw in him when I introduced him to Patrick Beverly, who was running a camp with us for our kids, and told him he's an NBA player and showed him some highlights, the giddiness in him that I know an NBA player and the pride he felt....it made my.....life. I know it's just Beverly, but to my dad, might as well have been Lebron.

So he trusts my basketball acumen...sees why I love basketball so much.

He's a basketball laymen, but has common sense, and has gained insight through me. So the game is on, I'm doing a water change for my aquarium, my brother is talking **** calling me a bull **** Knicks fan who isn't even paying attention, and I just told them what was gonna happen. It does, like a prophecy. 40 years of watching basketball, you've seen it all.

So my dad asks me, how come that guy never shoots? How come he constantly catches the ball and fumbles it around, looks around, ball moves, comes back to the same little guy and he dribbles a little more and chucks it. How come this guy has this big clumsy guy on him and he doesn't dribble, make moves, attack him...how come he doesn't do things on an easier defender that the other guys do on much harder ones. How come our team doesn't play like the other teams. (He's been watching every playoff game). Here's where I was surprised...how come the worst guy on the floor on offense, the guy they aren't even guarding, comes to run a pick and roll with our point guard.....dad's been paying attention to off the ball movement and play calling...nice dad.

I told him I don't know. I'm tired of explaining. I said it in my post during the first game of the year....now I'm indifferent. Was ecstatic to see Thibs make changes and be on his game defensively in games one and two, so good that I forgot about the same **** offense. But I knew what was gonna happen in game three, and I told myself if I see Mitch or Duece in the starting lineup, then I'll know Thibs is really playing chess, utilizing the tools in his war chest.

Na, you know how it goes, same old ****. Same results on the floor without lady luck at the end this time. I'm not an idiot, and this Knicks team, the way they play, is an insult to my intelligence. And it's sad. After over two decades, I finally like the ensemble we have...talented, work hard, good character, college and NBA championship pedigree on the roster, but all assembled together to play school yard basketball, something my kids don't even play, and this is what people paid thousands of dollars to see when they went to go watch a professional playoff basketball game. Embarrassing.

Before the Knicks to me were a dedication, I **** defended Marbury and Carmelo teams to TKF here for Christ's sake. Now, it's to pass some time while doing chores, because it's just painful to watch, even in wins. Because you see, people who love THE GAME, not just some team the NBA put in your town or a superstar they promote, they care more about how it's played than even wins and losses. And this man is running a disgusting team, full of his ego, stubbornness, and lack of creativity. Read and react...meaning go out there and play accidental basketball. I can go see better...in my own gym.

I'll happily watch my tank fill than give this **** coach my undivided attention, doing a job so bad even a laymen can see it, just lucky to have good hard working players who bail him out..but who he doesn't help other than tell them to play harder. I feel sorry for them. I hope this off season, Leon does too.

Thanks for reading. Good luck to him in game 4.
