That Kuminga sign and trade says hello

Kuminga for Vuc: who says no?

I can see it.

Such a dumb trade as then Pat is blocked and has no way to restore his value. Kuminga can’t shoot and is an always hurt. Unless it’s a one year prove it deal where we can rehab his value and trade him for value it’s a waste.

9 guys one of both of them probably be career 6th or 7th men which wouldn’t be bad having two of them

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

I don't want Kuminga but who cares about Pat being "blocked"? He's a wasted roster spot, there should be no more special treatment for him. If he doesn't get minutes it's because of him not because of anyone or anything else.

I’m hopeful we can get a healthy Pat going next season and be able to trade him. I’m fine drafting someone in his spot but not trading for someone that basically does the same thing as him.

Don’t want Buz giving up mins to Kuminga either.

I think GS gets a much better deal. Also, doesn't the whole S&T math get messed up because they can only get back salary equal to his current salary, not his future, so I think they can only take back $8M. Someone please correct me if I have that wrong. Finally, Kuminga is a RFA, so you'd need to sign him to an offer sheet that he agrees to...IIRC we can only offer the non-tax-payer MLE or ~$15M, which he won't take.

Outgoing salary is counted as half of new salary.
If this was a straight trade Kuminga salary would have to be $27,962,962m :)

I believe that regardless of our pick, we can get a decent player. I wouldn't be shocked if we make a draft day trade either.

That’s what AK said… “in the draft we will get a good player.”

I think he will keep and make the pick. Then trade Vuc and try to swing a big trade at the deadline with expirings and POR pick and our pick for a Siakam type of player. Youngish All Star.

AKME is lame. "We will get a good player." Meaningless words. Don't mean anything.

One can only hope to pull off a consolidation trade and get a promising player that perhaps has flaws or high salary, it's certainly happened before, zach for example.

So we have an 8% chance to move up from 12 and a 7.2% chance to get bumped down to 13. Assuming the other 85% that we are at 12, surely we won't get so lucky with someone with a much upside as Buzelis. At 12 and 13, surely they'll pick BPA regardless, perhaps with a bias toward a 4/5 big of some sort.

Regardless of the Bulls pick, I somewhat feel bad for Cooper Flagg. White guy to Utah? Yay! - although him and Lauri would be a ton of fun if they had a hot-shot play creator to pair with. Washington, Charlotte and New Orleans simply can't seem to build teams. I would consider it a disaster if effing Philly lucked into the #1. The Nets are preternaturally awful with talent management. Perhaps if Toronto moved up I'd be happy to see Flagg go there? I feel like no matter what happens tomorrow, a ton of fanbases will be annoyed with whomever gets the #1.

One of our projected picks, Jase Richardson, is a great pick for us, IF we're at number 12 and he's available. Please take him, AKME. I have him as the number 3 pick.

Jase doesn't have many weaknesses in his game and he'll be 19.
He has all the makings to be a great facilitator and defensive player according to his advanced metrics. Honestly, his traits and strengths are signaling him to be an NBA point guard.
He has tight handles.
He's fast.
He can take anyone one on one.
He's a defense dynamo.
He's a good finisher.
Low turnover machine. Yes, you read that correct. He's careful with the rock.
Good court vision.
He's already a good passer. Combined with his low turnover rate and poise, he can become a great passer.
Great shooter.

Not a comparison, but Jase Richardson has some skills reminiscent of Jalen Brunson, Monta Ellis, John Stockton, and Chris Paul. Again, I'm not comparing. Also, I'm not implying that Jase is in the same tier as those guys.

I like Jase quite a bit and wouldn't be disappointed if we drafted him. He could potentially get some decent PT if we go with a 3-guard rotation of Coby, Ayo, Jase. We have to assume Lonzo is going to miss significant time or hopefully be traded at some point. Of course, Coby could be traded as well, which would open up some room for Jase after the trade deadline.

He would fit really nicely next to Giddey though. Jase can shoot and score off-ball. He can guard the quicker PG/SG that Giddey struggle with. When Giddey is on the bench, Jase should be able to initiate offense with his quick first step and passing/scoring.

The Bulls have a similar story to the Edmonton Oilers. A perennial dynasty (albeit the 80s) behind the greatest player (Gretzky) and have been toiling since the day it ended. In Edmonton's case, a couple things have been true in opposition to the Bulls.

1: Been to the Cup twice, but lost
2: Won a Stanley Cup after Gretzky left
3: Recently, have been better

What's interesting is that the season after Gretzky leaves, the Kings beat the Oilers in the playoffs. The following season, in response, the Oilers beat the Kings in the playoffs and make a run through the finals to win the Cup forever supplanting their legacy as a group over that of being incapable without Gretzky.

That's a pretty cool sports story.

Bulls should bring Pope Leo to the lottery, odds to get a higher pick will most definitely increase.

If playoff rounds mean success… Bears have had more success than the Bulls, since 1999. They atleast made the Super Bowl in 2006. I don’t know how much more pathetic it can get. This franchise needs to look in the mirror and understand it’s at the bottom of the pile, with the Charlotte Bobcats. I’d add the Wizards, but we’ve lost 2 series to them.

26 years of underdog mediocrity (minus 2 real powerhouse seasons, one cut short by both the lockout and an ACL) and no end in sight.
