The value play to me is Domantas Sabonis.

He only averaged 12.8 field goal attempts per game.

For a number of reasons he's not being coached or utilized properly. He's the teams 4th or 5th option on offense.

Not so crazy conspiracy theory:

Danny Ferry is under consideration to return to Atlanta because of his long-standing relationships with Quin...and with Giannis?

I refer to this when someone mentions Danny Ferry. Danny has a 60% win percentage so he can find work but I hope it's not in Atlanta.

July 11, 2012: Traded Joe Johnson to the Brooklyn Nets for Jordan Farmar, Anthony Morrow, Johan Petro, DeShawn Stevenson, Jordan Williams, a 2013 1st round draft pick (Shane Larkin was later selected) and a 2017 2nd round draft pick (Frank Jackson was later selected).

Both of these decision makers have special relationships with Giannis.

Insider links Atlanta Hawks to pair of massive trades, including for elite executive

On Wednesday night, veteran NBA insider Marc Stein reported that the organization would like to acquire Toronto Raptors GM Masai Ujiri. However, Ujiri is not the only interesting name Stein added to the Atlanta Hawks’ search for a new leader of their front office. Along with the Raptors executive, he claimed the agent of a superstar that could be on the trade block this summer may also be a candidate for the opening.

“One agent to emerge as a potential candidate with the Hawks, league sources say, is Octagon’s Alex Saratsis, who represents Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo and Miami’s Bam Adebayo,” Stein wrote. “Saratsis’ possible involvement in the Hawks’ search would be a fascinating development that connects two of the major curiosities at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago this week … with Antetokounmpo’s future, of course, atop the list. Saratsis co-represents Antetokounmpo.”

The Hawks have not been a team linked to a potential Antetokounmpo trade sweepstakes this summer. However, they certainly have the trade chips to make them a contender. And if one of his agents is leading the organization, that could give them a unique advantage in the chase.

If Durant is traded, he will be allowed to sign a two-year, $111 million extension right away with his new team, or the same two-year, $124 million extension he could sign with Phoenix but six months after the trade. What to expect: Similar to the end of Jimmy Butler III’s tenure with the Miami Heat, Durant signs a two-year, $111 million extension with Phoenix and is then traded. – via ESPN https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/45437085/nba-offseason-2025-sga-jokic-luka-top-extension-candidates

:nonono: :nonono:
Yesterday, a report from Hoops Wire NBA reporter Sam Amico suggested that Hawks ownership was seriously considering trying to acquire Durant.

“One league source told Hoops Wire not to be surprised if the Hawks get involved in the Kevin Durant sweepstakes. While they have yet to hire a president of basketball operations, team ownership has already inquired internally about Durant, sources said.”

Where's the POBO? :banghead:
