I think we show up tonight. Will that + BOS doing the BOS thing of going away from what works so Tatum & Brown can pretend to be Kobe be enough? We'll see.

there's a part of me that wants to see it as a FU to boston. in that scenario i'd almost love to see josh hart sitting on the bench smiling about it. eating mike and ikes. (would also be an ill sponsorship.)
the other side of that is i don't want to see boston benefitting from a possible inability to push pace off stops because we made a major change to address hack-a-mitch. it's a good one.
i hear someone say just being quick with the mitch for hart sub. could also be an approach.

We've had like 3 incredible quarters in the playoffs and been unimpressive the rest of the time. Game 3 was our chance to put it all together and we embarrassed ourselves. Please take out Mitch if he can't hit a FT, he's not stopping their 3pt attack which is the main issue, it's slowing the tempo to give the injured Celtics rest, and it's killing our morale. Precious and Huk can grab rebounds and not be complete liabilities.

48 minutes. Win or lose, I just want to see a good 48 minutes of basketball (or a Knicks blow out).

I do think having mitch start or come into the games earlier will help. They want to hack him...but with 0 fouls they don't want to go into the penalty really early either.
Issue is Mitch is playing a majority of his minutes with 5-6 minutes left in the 1st qtr and 3rd qtr...sometimes BOS is really close to the penalty at that point and its hack a mitch time.
Thibs should adjust...but unlikely.

Start Mitch, and we are going to need a big game from Mikal or OG or both. Boston does do a great job forcing other players to beat them. Going to need OG and/or Mikal to have good games. Hart needs to make them pay on offense when they aren't covering him too. Thibs won't change too much. So much depends on how Boston is shooting too. If they are hot from 3 it'll be tough to beat them

Knicks offense sucks donkey d*ck.
Celtics win today, Pacers to the ECF, OkC and Minnesota to the WCF.
F*ck the NBA. I lost interest.
Would be nice of the Knicks to get in an offensive coach that has them capable of scoring 100 points with ease.
Meanwhile the cornball Pacers drop 120 casually on the bogus Cavs.
Again, f*ck the NBA.
Enjoy your sh*tty loss.

Robinson is at 44% from the field. As bad as the free throw shooting is, the field goal percentage is somehow more disappointing. The free throws don’t even count towards your field goal percentage so how is he that bad from the field when all he does is look to dunk when next to the basket.
Josh Hart is at 51% from the field despite the 28% that is factored into that percentage.
Not to mention the difference in PPG and APG
Hart has actually been one of our most constant starters in this series, the focus needs to be on the others who have not been very consistent. Brunson, Mikal and OG need to bring it tonight

Unfortunately coaches don’t shoot, dribble or pass. Missed shots and careless turnovers and bad passes are on the players

The quick sub I think is something on the table.
The real issue is that we can't get off to a slow start. The flow of the game seems to be something like stay close for a few minutes, Boston makes a run, we chip at it, they make a 2nd run, we are down 20, we regroup, then Brunson magic, and we are in a close game with a better closer.
The Pistons series shows that we don't really have a path to big offensive runs.
IDK what it is, part of it is the refs because KAT would be automatic 2 points, but he really isn't allowed to be.
We can't just leave this game at the mercy of Celtics missing open shots and taking advantage of how refs officiate a big lead. Last game you could see the 50/50 calls were not going our way and cut our momentum.

OP asking for both 20pts from OG and Mikal is unrealistic based on how we play offense but I agree with the urgency behind their post.
If this team plays like they played yesterday and to an extension games 1 and 2, we will lose.
Allowing Boston to shoot 63% from 3 is asinine. Not hard switching to ensure the 3 is contested is asinine. Doubling Jaylen Brown in the paint to allow open threes is asinine. The entire approach to game 3 was so bad that this is literally our game 7 now. The Knicks have to play a damn near perfect game tonight.
Horrible that the players made those poor decisions while Thibs was left sputtering on the sidelines angry that they couldn't do better.

According to Channel, we have an offensively challenged roster, so I guess that's another reason for me not to give a sh*t, since Knicks are congenitally incapable of scoring 100+ points without an extreme struggle.
Sounds like a team about to continue on its path of losing 4 in a row after getting lucky and stealing 2 games.

Hopefully Thibs has one more adjustment left in the tank. I doubt it, but let’s pray he makes the obvious one we all want and starts Mitch. If he does, this is a win..

It's at the point where the players need to stop worrying about the defensive scheme & just get after it. Use your instincts & knowledge of the opponent, it's not rocket science what they're trying to do. There's no excuse anymore get in their face.

I'm sick of watching Thibs coach this team the same way I was sick of JVG coaching and not at all upset once he was let go.
Tired of watching "good" defense with offensively boring, outdated approaches. It was true for JVG when he got canned, it's true for Thibs right now.

When Thibs is barking they keep a foot in the paint all game long?
Are you proposing they revolt against the coach?
