It would probably take us going over the tax to sign any of these guys, but if you can get a potential rotation guy for a short term below MLE deal why not? Not just D'lo, goes for any of the free agents this year.

I think D'lo and AB off the bench could be nice. Guy has put up 17-20 PPG 6 assists as a starter recently on good 3 shooting, he could probably carve bench units and AB takes the harder guard cover. Not saying he will take that role here, but somebody decent might in free agency. Plus upside for more minutes due to Suggs' injury history.

Why can't he start?

Why?
Weltman pretty much said in the exit interview that he expects more from KCP next season. That tells me he plans on him being there.

He did talk him up. Hard to re-tool the offense without shuffling the starting lineup, though

I worry that a significant part of the retool will be Suggs + Black returning from injury / personal development. I can see us looking for another F/C that can score since Mo likely won't be available day 1.

That being said, if I had a wish list. It would be a real bench or starting PG. Seeing what a corpse could do out there was astounding.

Also hard to admit an expensive mistake until you know you have a deal in place to climb out of it.

I think he would be a decent fit only if u get him for practically nothing and he understand his role. Playing him next to suggs or kcp allows for his putrid defense to be hidden a bit. He just has to control his shot chucking.

The magic desperately needs a Malik Beasley/Gary Trent/tyus jones situation were a guy slips thru cracks and signs for low money or traded for nothing and makes a major impact on the team.

I'll honestly be surprised if we don't trade KCP.

I feel very confident that KCP and Cole are traded.
