Harper being 6'4.5'' with 6'10.5'' wingspan was a good win for him.

Flagg and Bailey roughly same height, wingspan and standing reach.

VJ coming in 1.5 inches taller, 2 inch longer wingspan and 14 lbs heavier than Fears.

Also, really good measurements for Tre
6’4 ¾ barefoot, 190.4 lbs with a 6’10 ¼" wingspan

Of all the NCAA prospects I tracked who were listed at guard, Edgecombe actually has the 3rd highest standing reach behind Demin and Harper. Thought that was pretty interesting.

Bigs listed by standing reach, so far.

Khaman 9’6" standing reach
Kalkbrenner 9’4” standing reach
Goldin 9’3” standing reach
Raynaud 9’2” standing reach
Queen 9’1 ½" standing reach
Fleming 9’1 ½" standing reach
Sorber 9’1"standing reach
Wolf 9’1” standing reach
Broome 9’0 ½" standing reach
Ruzic 9’0” standing reach
Condon 8’11 ½" standing reach
Newell 8’11 ½"standing reach
Ace 8’11" standing reach
Flagg 8’10 ½" standing reach
CMB 8’10 ½" standing reach

I would say minimum you need a 9 foot standing reach to play center.
Newell, Condon and CMB really need to all play the 4.

lets make a new lotto night thread...
After the night we'll know where we are picking and we'll start making Prospect specific threads and maybe a general thread. This thread will probably be less used.

Let's take the lottery ping pong ball specific talk and aftermath over to the newly created thread. That way we can keep this more about prospects. Good call

Marc J. Spears
Barring the unexpected, former Duke star Cooper Flagg is expected to the first White-American taken with the No. pick 1 pick in the NBA Draft since 1977. The last was former Indiana center Kent Benson taken first overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in 1977.

Kinda crazy when you think about it. Almost 50 years lol.

Read on Twitter

I agree in this is a good point. It really does a disservice to a lot of these high level potential nba players when the youth and college programs artificially inflate their measurements. It's not fooling anyone any more Now that all potential prospects are required to get measured in their bare feet. There's no hiding. What good does it do to list ace as 6-10 when you know he's actually 6-7. All that does is set up false expectations and disappointment when the official numbers are announced.

Height and weight should always be measured in bare feet. Because that's how the rest of 99.9% of the world measures their height and weight for it anything else. I don't see girls saying well I'm 5 foot 9 ...........when I wear 5 inch heels. How many of us had a wall or a door in our house growing up where our parents measured our height as we got older, maybe against a brother or sister if you had one. No way we were doing those measurements wearing shoes. We were barefoot.

Don't set these kids up for universal disappointment on a day like today by inflating their height by two and a half inches.

I guess Philly holds the cards.

I think they either go VJ or Ace.

Hopefully they go VJ I prefer Fears, but something tells me they would go Ace.

Would much rather take a swing on Ace. Idk if this has any merit at all but VJ gives me MKG vibes. I guess cause he labeled as a "hustle" wing.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

VJ is my worst case scenario.

Bailey or Fears.

Why? He's my best case. If we get the third, I'm curious why you don't like him.

VJ can shoot and is a hyper-athletic player.

I can see VJ moving up to third if he shoots the ball well in workouts

His mentality/motor. He often plays like a role player. Doesn't have that attack mindset nearly enough for his athletic ability. Also not really a ball handler and he's 6'4.

I mean if you want a role player he fits no doubt. This team needs a star.

Bailey/Fears seem more suitable for that role imo.

I'll be cool with Bailey, but I prefer Edgecombe for his defensive tenacity, playmaking, and hyper-athlete skills.
