I think Flagg will be a mid star, but still I feel
For the teams that truly sucked, like Utah and Hornets, the **** Mavericks didn’t deserve it and the league treats the Lakers like their **** golden goose. The NFL does not cater to the cowboys that way , it doesn’t have to be that way at all :banghead:

Clear as day now why the Mavs didn’t seek assets back on the Lakers trade. They didn’t actually make it, the NBA did.

Agree with this.

Flagg is great in his role, but that role might not be as a superstar. Dallas is set up nicely. Does Dallas try to use Flagg as a trade piece for someone like Giannis? I'd be surprised, but there have been a lot of surprises across the NBA landscape lately.

For the small-market teams, the never-ending cycle continues. I still believe that's why I'm glad Connelly has made the moves he has. I'm sick of seeing these types of lottery results for markets like Washington, Minnesota and Utah.

Only offering an elite asset to one team has never happened before. Leaving them most of their assets when you do it, (left them a pick, all their swaps, Kneckt, and Reaves,) is just corrupt. There was no way Reaves is the hang up for Luka to LA, and no way Dallas makes the trade in good faith without him. Even if he gets rerouted later, it does not and could not make sense. The only two explanations were ownership to ownership or ownership to league back room dealings. We got our answer.

Well the draft lottery could not have gone much worse for the Timberwolves.

Flagg to Dallas and Spurs picking 2nd.
2 Western Conference teams that missed the playoffs about to get a lot better.
Conference balance gets even worse.

Absolutely completely blatantly rigged.
NBA trades Luka Doncic to LA, NBA reward Mavs with Flagg.
1 in 55 chance of landing the #1 pick.
But everyone and their grandmother knew who would win the lottery going in after Dallas gave Luka to LA without even taking a 2nd bid.

Utah and Washington suck all season only to pick 5th and 6th.

The draft "lottery" is more about giving the NBA the ability to scam and write narratives than it is about preventing tanking.

And now it looks like OKC, HOU, DAL and SAS are the teams with the best chance to add Giannis...

Maybe for next season but longterm, after expansion to LV/Seattle in a couple years, I think we’ll probably be in the East.

I defended all the NBA lottery conspiracies before and said that I will start believe it if Dallas gets Cooper. Here we are, Dallas gets Cooper. What can I said, I have to eat my words :nonono:

Not that it wasn't a great trade for the wolves before, but this puts the Rudy trade from the Jazz side a complete dud. Have tanked for years with nothing to show for it and now they didn't even get Flagg. Absolute steal for the wolves and Connelly is owed a huge apology

It sure makes sense for us to be in the Eastern conference with Milwaukee, Detroit and Chicago in a division together.

I can't believe that the lottery is rigged. They just can't take that risk of getting caught. It's convenient and all these things, but I just can't believe it. The truth would come out if they did.

Rigged or not, this makes the league office look terrible either way.

It looks just as bad for those who thought the Jazz were on their way to a dynasty after making the Mitchell and Gobert trades. Minnesota stays on the right side of history.

Now all we have to worry about is the Spurs getting a #1 and #2 overall picks down the road for the Dillingham trade.

Yep. Trade Luka to the Lakers and we will give you #1 overall in the next draft.
