I bet the reason they don't televise the drawing is because it's Bigfoot pulling the ping pong balls....

It's the only thing that makes sense.

Exactly . it's suspect the lottery even exists.

Crazy lottery results.

The NHL airs the actual drawing. No excuse for the NBA to not do the same.

Not necessarily, no. It took five years, for example, for the fact that US and German intelligence services had concluded that COVID was due to a lab leak. And that is a much larger pool of individuals to leak than the handful involved in the NBA lottery.

I'm not even gonna touch that one, man.

On the contrary, I like Harper with their team more than Fox.

I think we have a better chance at trading up to 3 with Philly, but not sure we can offer them anything they would want that would match the value drop off from 3 to 12 & make the money work.

I wish we were picking 6-9. We would be totally fine with any of those guys. At 12, we are right on the cusp of the fall off. Essengue or CMB or Sorber will feel like we took a massive L by winning end of season.

If I am the Spurs I am shipping out Fox. idk if it is anytime soon but with Castle/Wemby only being in their 2nd and 3rd years I am cool with Harper over Fox. You have 3 building blocks all drafted after one another. Plus they have another pick in the lotto.

Do they make an offer for Giannis?

What do you think they could get for Fox? I agree with your thinking on it, but will it look bad to trade him so soon? I know you said "IDK if it is anytime soon..." but Fox only has one more year on his contract.

Yeah, you could have anti-tank provisions without a lottery. First, financial penalties for non-play in teams - no luxury tax money sharing, and if in lux tax an extra 10% tax penalty given impact on quality of product.

Then lock teams out of repeat top 3 picks. For example, if pick #1, the locked out of top 4 for 4 years. If #2, locked out of top 4 for 3 years. If pick #3. locked out of top 4 for 2 years. If #4, locked out of top for the following year. You go by order but a locked out team gets passed over for a spot they are locked out from.

Shocker shocker, Dallas gets the #1 overall pick.

"Hey, just trade Luka to LA for pennies on the dollar and we'll make sure you get Cooper Flagg."

The nba gave them the second pick so they can make a move for another star ... the problem is san Antonio fans will stop coming to games and watching when their team sucks bulls fans stay loyal no matter how bad we are... so we keep getting screwed .

Mock drafts:

Tankathon has the Bulls selecting Jase Richardson
NBADraft.net has the Bulls picking Asa Newell

EDIT: NBADraft.net hasn't updated the lottery results.

That's your counterpoint? One referee caught betting 18 years ago so obviously the NBA is rigging the lottery?

And that's all you got to refute it? Before Donaghy was caught, people said the EXACT same thing about NBA refs being compromised. People like you wrote it off as conspiracy theory. Turned out to be absolutely true. You have no idea what happens behind closed doors, don't act like you do and talk down to others about it.

I see. So you believe the NBA, a multi-billion-dollar industry, is risking all of its credibility and future so that they can ensure Cooper Flagg goes to the Dallas Mavericks.

You're right. I get it now.

Controversial: I am glad that Reinsdorf didn’t get bailed out.

Yea i really don't think it's rigged. 2019 lottery featured the Bulls, Knicks and Lakers. Zion went to New Orleans and Ja went to Memphis

That is one moderately paid NBA referee. The NBA is a $100b organization made up of 30 billionaires who all have a vested interest in their teams succeeding.
