It's all ego. Since Lebron left they've been butthurt and make decisions based on their egos. They want to show the league they all about winning and heat culture. They are too good to take a step back and can win with anyone. Its lead to some bad decision making. Signing JJ, Dion, Whiteside to dumb deals. Not trading high Caleb, Struss, Vincent and Butler when they had a chance to. And not tanking in a season where you were lost. But they showed the league heat culture.

Everyone with a brain knew we needed to lose to close out the year, there was little incentive to make the playoffs but they still did it and got the worst beat down in nba history I believe I saw. This is actually wild.

They are in a bad place right now with Bam and Herro just good enough to make the play-in every year, but with no real hope.

But they won't, they'll try to cobble some trade to get them to above average and get bounced in round 2 at best
