The 3 teams with the best odds all dropped out of the top 3.

Some things just don't need explaining. The NBA showed their power tonight. We as fans must accept this business can be shady and live with the results.

As much as I hate it for us I will still watch even tho it pains me. It is what it is. I'm done with the draft lottery tho. No more believing in that crap.

Fatlever warned us. Damn was he right. :o

This is probably a little bit off but I roughly guaged the probability of these three events happening at 1.8%, 13% and 31% chances respectively. An online calculator gives events of those probabilities happening at the same time a chance of 0.07254%

This definitely isn't the exact odds but should be roughly in the ballpark.

Cheers. You're taking VJ right? Jazz will take Ace or Tre.

4th place in a three man race

I have Ace, Tre and VJ in the same tier.

I’m serious fellas. I’m out. This league is not worth another second of my time.

If I wake up one day and our team is magically good I’ll maybe crawl back a little bit.

I know NIL has impacted people's opinion on how deep the draft is, but I don't think any top 4 prospects are heading back to school(but I don't stay super on top of that). Hornets had the best outcome of the 14% teams, that would've really sent the board on a spiral.

It's cause the league does it behind closed doors and probably has a very small group of high-ranking league officials sign some sort of NDA. If the Lottery was legitimate why can't they broadcast it on live TV for everyone to see?

They do show footage of the drawing after the fact, but I've got no doubt now that they do something to rig the combinations that come out.

So because MIA came from behind and beat ATL in the play in, DAL got Flagg instead of MIA.

Real glad he's not going to MIA.

this boards been bleeding members for years, people ditching this team and sport is not an empty threat

as for me, they are probably doing me a favor as i have been wasting money on league pass for the last 3 years since i left Charlotte to follow a team thats unwatchable by Thanksgiving every year, and has zero hope of ever doing anything in the future.

The NBA sent a clear message it cares nothing about the Charlotte market. Hearing people on Nat'l tv just talk about us like we don't even belong in the league should have been a sign.

How do we realistically improve when we can't get our franchise game changer?

Trades are our only option. It's the sad truth. Hope this new management knows what they are doing because they have failed on the first draft pick. Hopefully this one is a bit better.

Alright let's stop feeling bad for ourselves. If you honestly thought the NBA would allow us to get a player like Flagg, than that's more on you for being unrealistic

4th isn't a bad spot. Time for the FO to earn their paycheck and add too our high potential but unnaccomplished roster

Here's my annual post that the "NBA is rigged to favor big markets" take is contradictory to the "NBA is rigged to favor San Antonio in the lottery" take.

I do agree that changing the lotto odds seems to not be having the intended effect and that needs to be revisited.

I think I would be fine with 4th if it wasn't Mavs, Spurs and Philly picking ahead of us. If we had picked 4th behind Utah, Wizards and Raptors I think we all would be like cool, let's figure out who to take...

but it is just annoying to see teams operate terribly and get rewarded over us.

This is what it's going to take for me as well. I need the NBA script writers to let us actually be a good basketball team. I want to root for the Globetrotters, not the Washington Generals.

Bad lottery luck is far from the only reason that this franchise has no success

All it takes is one or two or the top officials in the league to conspire. Technology easy to manipulate a draw. It’s not regulated by any government agency. They bring in the accountant. All he does is verify the count. The tainted ball(s) are drawn. Earnest and Young aren’t any the wiser. RIGGED!
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

The top 3 is literally the most annoying possible outcome...

Oh I know, but when you combine that with the obviously rigged lottery, the bias in officiating, the injuries that always seem to happen, and the league's outright embrace of gambling you'd have to be really practiced at cognitive dissonance to NOT think something is really, really off.

Lol... the top 3 I listed that would make me furious all jumped into the top 3.

And ruined our future Dallas Lotto pick in the process.

So it will be vj, tre, fears, Ace, kon, Kasper, queen or malauch

Weirdly, I'm more annoyed at who moved up than I am that we didn't.

But yeah, if I'm Jeff I'm offering Miami or Dallas pick, plus the mystery team 2026 pick to move up from 4 to 2. But spurs for sure offer castle, harper and vassell for giannis, right?
