#10 for #15 and Houston's 2026 #1 top ten protected

Houston picks up a 2026 pick.

OKC trades up if they like a guy in that range.

Seems fine, maybe it has to be the middle of OKCs three picks so that it's technically a guaranteed pick wrt stepian for Houston but still quasi-protected from OKCs pov

With the top ten protection you put there Houston is still subject to stepian

Thinking back, you might be right. Was this years swap the top 10 protected one? If it is only a top 4 protected pick in 2026, I'd be less inclined to do this trade.

Yes it is.

Oklahoma City will receive the two most / more favorable of its 2026 1st round pick, Houston's 2026 1st round pick protected for selections 1-4 and the L.A. Clippers' 2026 1st round pick and Washington will receive the least / less favorable of these
