If Nico stays, Cooper will play somewhere else.
Its painfully obvious Nico doesn't want any whites on this team.

He needs to be fired because trading that pick for anyone other than Edward's or Alexander would be criminal.

There is probably exactly 1.8% of NBA fans who believe this was actually NOT rigged.

If Mavs would have a smart GM they would probably build a nr1 contender for the next season. It's wild how many options they have now.

Imagine trading the best white American prospect in decades just after the Luka fiasco.
This is their last chance to save the future of this franchise, ofc I still dont trust this pathetic FO but my only and last hope is that they are not as clueless as they looked in the past months.

As tempting as it is to build a championship team this year, it's far too contingent on the health. Kyrie won't be the same (especially not right away) and AD is made of glass.

I know this won't happen with Nico at the helm but personally I'd rather trade AD and build around Flagg. Let Kyrie rest for the whole year and tank for another top 5 pick.

If he was a smart GM, he would just reset the team and rebuild around him. AD/Kyrie is way too risky and right now both still have some value left. But we know he's all in so he might even go after Giannis now.

Agree.

With Davis, Kyrie and Flagg, you can still put together a playoff team. That team isn't as strong as OKC or Boston, but it's a good team when healthy.

Trading away Flagg for an existing star that isn't Jokic, SGA or Giannis would be a horrible move.

Giannis for Flagg is interesting, although personally I'd prefer just to keep Flagg if I was Dallas, as Kyrie and Davis' health is unreliable, such that while Giannis has a 5 year MVP kind of window imo, who is to say how many playoffs Kyrie and Davis' will be healthy for.

You guys think Cooper Flagg has a game that will translate? NBA draft. Net has him as Scottie Pippen. Pippen really? I'm not buying it yet.

So the official trade is Luka and Maxi for AD, Christie, Flagg and a 1st rounder.
