Feel like he wasn’t playing crazy minutes but he has barely had a decent rest his entire career. Consistently deep in the playoffs.

Maybe it was only a matter of time.

Wasn’t like he had played crazy minutes tonight.

How about taking the summer off instead of going to the Olympics to get benched?

Tatum’s been ultra durable his entire career and is in his athletic prime.

He doesn’t play crazy minutes during the season.

Achilles have typically been old man injuries in the NBA. Kobe and KD both did theirs after playing heavy minutes in their 30s.

I blame Hart the dirty player for tripping JT a few plays before the injury
Injured his wrist again, rolled his ankle a little bit and hurt his foot

He also tripped Brown and looked innocent
I hate the pseudo defensive players which are really brutal players with no regard to the other team's players

One more awful thing is this will hit Tatum not early, not late, but right in his prime.

Where does this rank in the worst nights in Celtics history since Reggie died? Pretty high up.

What does the Olympics have to do with the Celtics peeing down their leg in games 1 and 2?

You can argue nothing, but the team clearly ran out of gas. They've been badly outworked. Settling for too many threes is partially Joe's bad coaching, but also could have something to do with stamina/effort.

Regardless, it has everything to do with JT's achilles, which is what matters now anyways.

Jrue and Al are older guys and they still had productive moments this series
JB and Derrick, to me, were just rough with their decision making tonight
Derrick in particular has seemed to have regressed on defense and overall on offense. It seems White is frequently taking too many 3's and not looking to setup his teammates.

We could've used an Avery Bradley, Marcus Smart or, heck, Marcus Banks type, Tony Allen -- whoever, a freakin bench guard we can use for 8 minutes in a playoff matchup to put on a star like Brunson. Obviously that player was supposed to be Jaden Springer (or less so Jordan Walsh) but we just did NOT have a functional defensive guard to relieve White and we really missed that player

KP obviously I am sympathetic if he's fighting through a chronic illness or infection
Payton was great this yeaar

IN general, it's disappointing night, even aside from JT... Crazy we have such as expenisve team and so little depth that we didn't have options off the bench in this series. Last year Joe went to Brissett and Tillman here and there. Obviously Brad would throw out Carsen Edwards or Enes Kanter when we neeeded a changeup in the bubble. But this yr, we were 8 deep and especially predictable that our game was the spread you out and get open 3 pointers. We were a talented team when healthy but one with only one pitch to throw

I'm pretty bummed.

Just a terrible night. I would definitely trade an L and not see Tatum getting injured ot even the series frankly.

I think we'll win game 5, but not sure about the last two.

This team is too stationary. I would be jumping for joy for a player that can get to the basket.

Tatum was working on his left ankle the timeout before his other injury to his right leg.

Can’t help but feel he might have overcompensated

Let's not overreact. He's still alive and will still have a hell of a career in front of him, he's not 35.

I thought the world was ending when Hayward broke his leg, but that gave way to a certain young rookie to devlop and know nothing but ECF's at minimum (minus one season). He's been burning deep seasons since he's been in the league.

He's going to have some great months of quality time with his two young boys. And he will return as a great Celtic as he was.

I expect tatum to really push himself in his recovery. I just don’t know if he can come back quickly assuming it’s his achilles.

Now we get to see if Brad really knows what he's doing as a GM.
