I honestly thought Rudy would dominate the lakers every game that series.. Maybe he had some back spasms issues the first four games.

I think JJ moved away from doubling Rudy all game long. In the first 4 games, Rudy was sandwiched by 2 Lakers every time a shot went up for either team. And if he did get his hands on a ball, one of them would karate chop his arms.

Last night they moved their focus to Ant and left Rudy pretty much alone and he made them pay.

Rudy is only the 2nd Wolf to have a 20/20 playoff performance. KG is the other one.

He went from playing like Ervin Johnson in the first 4 games to playing like Kevin Garnett last night!

Quoting Kyle Thige on Dane Moore last night “ “Before last night NBA teams were 0-9 when attempting 40 or more 3s and making under 15% of them. They also lost by an average of 20+ points per game.”

Paraphrase but quote to be safe, “The Lakers shot 29% in the fourth quarters of the series. That is the worst shooting percentage ever recorded for 4th quarters for any team in any playoff run. This has been recorded since 1997.” 6:20 mark.

Rudy had 9 offensive rebounds and 8 dunks first guy to have at least 8 and 8 since Amar’e Stoudemire.

Rudy is the first player in NBA history to have a 25/20 game with 80% or better field goal percentage in a series winning game.

Since March, Wolves won 21 out of 26 games with at least two that we should had won (IND g-league game and Bucks meltdown). Still that is 80% win percentage. Feel like we may be peaking at the right time

Wolves 12 of 76 for their last two games. By comparison Boston set the all time record for missed 3s in a game with 15 of 60 and still hit 3 more than us.

Semi related. According to SVP this was our first wire to wire playoff win since KG. He implied KG did it once in 2004 during the conference finals. Yet another way Ant, Jaden, and Naz are making the record books. Oh, and a healthy shout out to Randle who had a season high (and thus career high in Minnesota) 11 assists.

Julius Randle had a triple double in game 3. That is the first playoff triple double against the Warriors since 2018 when LeBron had one. It is also the fourth triple double in Wolves playoff history. I believe it is the first since KG in 2004 (but this could be wrong.)

Naw and DDV being the two worse shooters and with the worse plus minus in all the playoffs so far is just wild.

NAW's poor playoff shooting was expected. Donte's was not.

Since January 22, the Wolves are an incredible 28-6 (82.3%) in games Randle has played.

Bravo, Randle and Finch!
