They’re still a pretty prideful group. I think we’re in for a battle on Wednesday.

Let’s give Boston game 5 so we get the “the Celtics are better without tatum he’s blocking Jaylen Brown’s greatness” narrative going just to needle melo a little bit more before we finish the job in game 6?

Nah we gotta end them and try to get some rest if possible

The series isn't won yet but this game feels like a culmination of the last 5 years, since Leon Rose succeeded the Steve Mills and Scott Perry regime of doom.

This was the first complete performance by this team in the series.

We need our stars to be productive and efficient on offense to compete and Brunson and KAT delivered offensively. Jalen is such a great shot creator. And when the ball moves and everybody feels engaged, this team reaches an entirely different level.

This was the Mikal who's worth all those picks. He was engaged on both ends and when that happens, the team becomes hard to beat. What's interesting is that the Knicks seemingly flipped the script and decided to attack the Celtics' smaller players when matched up with Mikal on a few possessions. His size in the midrange is an asset that has been underutilized at times.

Also shout-out to Mitch man. He's a monster. I love how we can have two different shapes with either 5-out, uber-efficient KAT or with rim protector, offensive rebounder Mitch. Based on what the game dictates, we can go with either player and have near-elite play from the center position.

Of course, neither team is a match for the Pacers

He is a bit slow footed when defending out on the perimeter but there is no question that his effort on defense is 110% and he challenges nearly every shot if he's in proximity.

He is such a great, winning player. The only player I'd be willing to trade KAT for is Jalen Brunson......but I hear he's not available.

Tatum injury aside, no doubt you have been the better, hungrier and more determined group and team in these playoffs

The ECFs between The Knicks and Pacers (I presume) is going to be sick.

Even if Tatum didn't get injured, I don't think we would have won the game and series.

Thibs and Bridges have been much maligned figures who have come up big for the Knickerbockers in this series. I really enjoy underdog/redemption stories like that.

Despite what others have said about my previous posts on this board about this series, I am not fishing for likes or empathy, I want to be someone who handles defeat gracefully (something I haven't managed very well in the past)

Knicks fans may well be the truest, most passionate and authentic Hoops fans in the world.

You have been ringless and out of the finals for way too long. Anyhow I know how excited and buzzed I was during the 08 Playoffs (after Years of suffering as a a Celtics fan since 1992, my first season in the NBA)

Enjoy the moment and buzz guys. Especially as you have been starved of succes for so long.

STFU AND GTFO!!!

Great game. Didn't watch it live because I was changing the cat litter, but saw every second later and the things they did tonight brought joy.

Peep the difference in the screens Brunson gets from Mitch Vs Kat, Josh and others. He really gets Brunson free, it was key to get him cooking. Loved the double big lineup, Duece in the game late....great navigating of the rotation by Thibs on defense. Active subbing...he's finally doing it on the regular, no more templates. Nice.

The offense goes as Brunson goes...he's our system on that end....so I'll continue to pray for his health. Tonight we saw how unpredictable that can be, one single step and everything can change. The way he was writhing in pain, felt bad for the kid.

What a man.

I honestly believe Brunson will win a chip with your Knicks, this season or not.

I suffered years of misery when I first started out as a Celtics fan in 1992 (Larry Bird was my childhood hero even though I only saw the end of his career)

It's been a lot longer and tougher for you Knicks fans, and despite the hatred and animosity between both teams and cities (which I can't really comprehend the context being Australian), I do sincerely am happy for you long time Knicks Homies. (Still bitterly hate Giants and Yankees fans a lot more for some reason haha)

The Tatum injury was an heartbreaker but he is a tough, resilient kid and he will be back.

I do greatly appreciate all your Knicks fans kind and compassionate posts about Tatum's injury.

Unfortunately if this happened against the Sixers, I suspect many Filthadelphia fans would be celebrating and rejoicing in it (Sixers along with the Lakers and Heat is my least favourite fanbase in the NBA)

Your team is only 9 wins away from Knicks immortality and changing your lives for the better

I am rooting for the Wolves to win it in all, but I definitely would prefer a Knicks chip over franchise stealing OKC Plunder.

I like Indy though and meh on Denver.

With Tatum seemingly out for the rest of the series, it may make sense to hold OG out at least in game 5. Hamstrings can be SUPER tricky to deal with and very finicky.

Or KAT's hand. Weren't they mentioning a broken bone during the broadcast?

Sorry for not being specific, Dorris has me having the game on mute 90% of the time.

Only two guys on the planet in NBA history with more than 100 4Q pts in the playoffs 1st 10 games. Kobe and Brunson.

The wild card for this team is Bridges, OG and KAT. When 2 of those other 3 are scoring the Knicks are really tough. When all 3 are scoring the Knicks can be a juggernaught.

Guys coming together at just the right time.

The talent is undeniable. Possibly the best starting 5 in the NBA.

Robinson now that he is healthy and acclimated to the new team is really starting to stud defensively as well as be his usual rebounding force on the boards. This is a huge late season addition to complement KATs game at the 5. McBride hitting over 50% of his 3's.
New reality of Son ship!

Thibs has shown that he knows he needs to adjust. He's just been very stubborn with it. It's usually injuries and foul trouble that force his hand but, when he does things we've all been begging him to do and it works out after 82 games it's fun to watch.

This team plays better defense switching and they need everyone involved on offense. Save the hero ball from Capt clutch until the end. We will win more games that way.

One more win and something almost everyone thought impossible, will happen. Knicks ECF or bust was my opinion to start the season. By Christmas time I felt like we were legit contenders.

7 down 6 to go!! Let's **** do this!!! Do it for Clyde!!!

Don’t give a damn about looking classy. Celtics had no shot with or without Tatum. He can take a year off and come back to a depleted trash roster and then show people if he’s still good enough now that his team isn’t so great anymore.

They had Tatum for 189/192 minutes and they’re down 3-1. Series was well over and his presence made no difference.
