Any chance MIL takes Ace Bailey at 2?
(I'm assuming SA will trade for Giannis)

There’s a chance, especially if San Antonio moves one of their guards while Dame is still on the roster.

Ace is really losing the combine man lol. I feel pretty sure I have VJ over him for 3rd now.

Re: 2024-2025 College Basketball / NBA Draft
I've heard enough respected people being down on Ace (and really the rest of the guys after the top-2) to feel like trading back is our best option if available.
Edgecombe guys... What is he at the next level? He seems like the one draftniks like the most at 3. Scouting report/size makes me think of Victor Oladipo. I realize you shouldn't really draft on fit... But that just doesn't feel like a great fit with what we have.
Or do you think he's got Donovan Mitchell type star upside where you don't really care about fit and figure it out after?

I don't think he has Mitchell upside, he's not nearly as crafty as a ball handler or scorer. He's a little Mathurin-ish to me, but a better athlete. Maybe a little Oladipo-ish when he was coming out. If he was 4 inches taller I think he'd be consensus #2 in this draft as a wing, but he's not.

Shot 20% on pull up jumpers and 44% on shots at rim on halfcourt. Most of his buckets came from transition and c&s. He’s more of DeAnthony Melton or GP2 with a jumper.

If we didn't already have 2 PGs, Fears would likely be my choice at 3.

Every year, there’s a big guy at the combine who gets buzz for being able to stretch the floor. What makes Khaman Maluach different is how smooth and natural he looks working from the perimeter and getting into his shot.
As expected, there’s still plenty of work to be done, but the foundation is solid.
