he was special special...I know I expect a ton out of him and he has been doing it in the 4th qtrs vs boston but I was waiting for his signature dominant game and he exceeded that. His high level shot making is unmatched in the NBA. Kobe like in terms of making tough shots look easy.

He had to be the best player on the court to get the win and came through.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brian Windhorst is an absolute tool for the way he tried to dismiss what the Knicks did. That game was over regardless of what happened.

That fat ass is always 30 seconds away from a pulmonary embolism, so not that concerned with his takes.

If we're whole we should beat them, they have been playing well, but it's really hard to tell just how good they are considering both their opponents have been injured. What I do know is that the 7 game series would have been over in 5 last year if OG didn't get hurt. I would expect a big series from OG here, because they don't really have a matchup for him, Nembhard is too small, Nesmith will be on Jalen, Siakam is too slow.

The only thing I worry about with them is injury, and their whole gameplan is centered around getting Brunson tired by pressuring him full court the way they've done Mitchell.

I really don't want to get into strategy vs Indy since we aren't there yet but your like dragging me into this convo.

If Thibs is smart we put KAT on Siakam defensively....we put OG on Turner...and Mikal on Hali....so if they run the Hali/Turner pick and pop we basically neutralize Hali scoring ability with OG switching on him...and we take away the pick and pop 3 ball game because Mikal is long enough to deal with Myles Turner...if they want to eventually post up that matchup a lot I don't really care.

They probably will have to use Hali/Siakam P&R but Siakam isn't really a high volume or high eff 3 ball shooter (even though he's hitting them this year). And for the most part KAT should be able to stay in front of him and recover.

Brunson is strong enough to not mean Nembhard can bully him.

And Hart is a much better matchup for Indy than he is for BOS. Who is going to guard Hart on Inday? If It's turner...and then Siakam is on KAT...and they guard Nesmith on Brunson...so Hali either has to be put on Mikal or OG...which Hart and OG would be way too strong for him....would should be able to kill them on the glass. Even if we go with our big big lineup its going to creat some strong mismatches...I think in a lot of cases they will be forced to put Hali on Mikal...and then I would just spam P&R with Mikal as the ball handler...

here I went not wanting to look ahead and I did already...

That's what we should do, but during the season we didn't far try it, maybe Thibs will open his mind to that now that he's sampled what switching can do  KAT on Siakam is a good matchup, especially going from having to switch onto Tatum and Brown, it would be like a little vacation for him, and it should bog them down in trying to get KAT in switches with Haliburton while everyone else is just in a sound matchup.

I think we can really hammer them with the KAT/Mitch combo as well, the Pacers aren't a good rebounding team, and the Siakam / Turner frontcourt lends them to being exposed to Mitch/KAT. I'm more afraid of TJ McConnell than I am most of their starters

We can look ahead, we survived the Celtics best punch last night before Tatum got hurt.

Yes, you articulated what I was thinking about Hart much better. I think he's much more dangerous to Indy. Boston has a bunch of guys who can deal with him.

I'm at the 7:39 mark in the 4th...this is when Mikal was battling Horford for that rebound.
Horford is called for the foul and Mikal is greeted by knicks on the bench and Mikal is hyped. The game is FAR from over -Yet, Mikal believes it is!
If you havent jumped on the Mikal bandwagon- dont miss any more time - Mikal is a DOG
when it matters! This is why Brunson wanted him here.

I'm hoping now that we have adjusted (thibs especially on defense) to more switching he doesn't revert back now. Tatum and Brown are very hard matchups on switches...Haliburton doesn't have there shot making or explosion so even if we need to switch KAT onto Hali at times and just stay home on the rest we should be fine.

Pacers beat you with there pace and ability for everyone to score. Make Hali into a guy that have to get 40 a night and they wont win. He might catch fire for 1 or 2 games but live with that...keep there role players down.

Yes, McConnel gives us fits. I wonder if Mikal will be a decent matchup for him and just drop off him and use his length to bother him. McBride has had a lot of issues with that little pest

I just did.

This was anticipated with the liquidation + draft and young player capital build of the past two years. It's known that the Allen kids wanted to get out. I have a little resentment over how they treated Dame - basically forcing him to ask out so he got the blowback - but I'll get over it.

Its really too bad he threatened to shoot wingo. We should reinvestigate that to see what wingo did to piss him off so bad.

He has to be off parole by now

I may or may not have had a role in antagonizing him and Wingo bore the brunt of the backlash. My memory of the event is now hazy...can't recollect. Not sure who is this NYMentality person is, don't know him.
