He has a longer wingspan than Newell as well and only 1 inch less on standing reach.

And no offense.

Questionable shooter doesn’t mean he has no offense. He’s a good finisher and he gets by his man pretty regularly and he’s a good passer. There’s some upside there with him. Hopefully he is there at 12. Plus he’s awesome defender.

Going from projected 6'3" to 6'1" with shoes is not enough to remove him from lottery consideration. Let's not completely ignore his 6'6" wingspan being better than expected. Jace Richardson was a reclass prospect. He's only a couple months older than Cooper Flagg. JR has advanced ball handling skills, he can shoot, and have the benefit of being a second generation prospect who actually loves to play basketball. Richardson is still a lottery pick, and he could still have a growth spurt in him.

Dang. 6’9+ in shoes with that handle and shot.

Yep. This did it for me. He's at the top of my list at 12.

Draft List
Riley
Maluach
Demin
Fleming

I would not mind drafting Kasparas jakucionis or Jase Richardson if they available .

Very pleasantly surprised by Jakucionis measurements. So he's basically 6'6 in shoes with 6'8 wingspan. This changes things for my assessment of his NBA potential. With that size he can also slot into a playmaking SG position. Provides roster flexibility. Really wish his three point percentages didn't drop off in the second half of the season. But his shooting form looks pure.

- Tre. If he falls to 7 trade POR pick or Ayo

If they fall…
- Fears, Noa, KJ, Kon in that order

If these players are gone I’m trading back and getting two 1sts and going Beringer then Riley, Traore, Penda

Very real scenario all my guys are gone by 12.

CMB’s measurements have me ok with him. Also think he can play playoff mins with his strength and competitive play. Hes a tough play with Giddey due to no 3 ball. If you believe in his future shot he could be a great but low upside pick.

I’m still all in on trading back for two 1sts.

If we do get one of my picks at 12 I’m all in on trading POR 1st or Ayo for BKN 1st and getting Beringer.

I expect AK to stay at 12 and pick the guy who drops and keep Ayo and the POR pick for a deadline trade.

Again… let me say it. AK wants to win not build a winner.

They said he was injured the second half. However, my biggest concern are his turnovers. If he can reign that in some while still using his creativity, I think he will be a good pick wherever he is picked.

Doing a deep dive into Nique Clifford.

What do the Kon fans think he gives you that Nique Clifford doesn't?

Really like Clifford as a rotational wing who can be your worst starter or 6-7-8 man.

I get the reasoning behind doing the vertical, but I do wonder about it's import diminishing for guards with the 3pt focus today. Other than Ja, how many guards are big dunkers (I guess you could count Ant as a SG)?

IIRC Phillips was a vert leader for his class, but it hasn't been a big catalyst for him becoming more than a rotational guy. But I guess, I do note that he is able to jump for rebounds, but I don't think of him as a big shot blocker. He does get the occasional alley-oop. I guess my point is that it WAS a much bigger thing.

We should be in the talent acquisition stage. Worry about fit later. So get the BPA.

I think it’s a matter of a guys explosion in general. Vertically and horizontally and you want a Guy to be explosive enough and it’s a huge red flag when guys aren’t.

Helps ease some concerns about his athleticism. He only had 1 dunk this season, which was a bit concerning.

If we HAD to be stuck at the late lotto range in this draft, THIS is the draft to do that.

If we HAD to be stuck at the late lotto range in this draft, THIS is the draft to do that. I'm convinced there are going to be impact players available in our range. KJ being faster than previously estimated helps with this. The only problem is that it's a high quality guard heavy draft, and we already have Coby, Lonzo, Ayo and Carter. Swapping Coby out for a pick is a must at this point. Egor + KJ > Coby + Egor. We could then hunt down a quality third big with that extra $$$. Preferably a rim protector and lob threat.
