Re: The Derik Queen Thread
Polar opposite of my Jakucionis experience. Never went out of my way to catch Queen, kept running into Maryland games and he would ball out very impressively. I think my assumption that Mark was a core part of the future diminished my interest, but with that less than certain at this point, I would definitely consider him. Measurements look pretty good, natural feel for the game, a lot to like here.

Low motor, took many plays off, not a rim protector, not a plus defender. Love his old school game but that’s school was torn down by the NBA. He can shoot, and he was impactful at the college level. If we were picking late lottery I’d consider him but nowhere near #4.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Re: The Derik Queen Thread
I love what I see out of Queen every single time I see him play. He is big bodied and comes with NBA ready moves. For some reason, people have him as a C but to me, he is very much a classic PF. Someone who can score at all levels but is going to live inside the paint and be able to kill you with jumpers if you give him space. I know there's not a single mock having him go as high as 4th, but I'd love to end up with him. This team needs to get bigger.

Not having a very strong day at the combine today with athletic testing or shooting the ball.

Is it streaming or televised or are you following via sm updates?

Re: The Derik Queen Thread
The combine isn't going to sway my opinion much unless something drastic comes out. Watching his game highlights shows me he's a) not afraid to take big time shots (he makes them regularly too) and b) he's got a deep bag of moves you don't often see from a big coming out of college

Just following on twitter, Givony and Chepkevich are tweeting a lot of results.
Also, you can see shooting and measurables here, although site keeps going up and down as they update.

Re: The Derik Queen Thread
I still think Queen can be alright, but I would say his dark horse run to being my pick at #4 is over. He currently ranks 43/43 out of all the prospects in shooting today.
Other names that are in bottom 10 thus far.
Murray-Boyles, Collin PF
Maluach, Khaman C
Newell, Asa PF
Harper, Dylan PG
Condon, Alex C
Nelson, Grant PF
Niederhauser, Yanic Konan C
Zikarsky, Rocco C
Queen, Derik C
Fleming and Carter Bryant also shot it in the bottom 15 players.

Re: The Derik Queen Thread
I saw something somewhere yesterday in my reading talking about how Queen did not come off well in Chicago. How it seemed he wasn't all that prepared for the interview process and didn't seem to be taking it that seriously. There was a quote about how he told one team that he just liked to be the fun guy.

Queen seems like a less mature Sean May, mega pass on this guy.

Good for that team (so long as it isn't us)

I saw him on the mcafee show. He came off as an arrogant prick. The posters above comparison to Banchero is extremely interesting though
