Why Rockets? They give their more experienced young core enough help to compete at a higher level upgrading FVV/Brooks to Fox/Lauri at the cost of four FRPs. Houston will be at 192,6 mil with 9 contracts after the trade, which leaves them 15,2 mil under the 2nd apron wi bring back Adams and fill the roster with min contracts.

Why San Antonio? They quickly recoup the assets used to acquire Fox after getting lucky enough to draft Harper. I agree that it is tight, but not impossible. Even if Fox gets the max extension Rockets will be in 2026-2027 at 196 mil with Fox, Green, Thompson, Lauri, Sengun and Reed/Cam with 32 mil available under the 2nd apron to resign Eason/Smith. Maybe they all give some discounts to keep the band together, maybe thw owners are fine to face the 2nd apron for a couple of seasons.

Spurs traded 2025 CHI (lotto prot) FRP, 2027 own, 2031 MIN FRP + 4 SRPs for Fox.

If #10, 2027 PHX FRP, 2030 HOU FRP are that better maybe Houston can put some protections.
