Trades are always about getting the best player, and there's a high probability Scottie is better than the number two pick (and lower risk because you know what you are getting), and RJ and Castle are probably a wash.
The trade won't be for Castle, it would be for Harper.

Poeltl, Dick, Agbaji, #9, and 4 future FRP's should be a competitive offer for 2 years of Giannis.
Milwaukee says no
The CBA says no. Giannis makes $54M/year you can't get him without trading at least one large salary.

Right, but sitting here right now, assessing all the probabilities and risk, taking out the recency bias around the Harper hype, and choosing between Harper and Barnes- Barnes is the safer choice for a Bucks franchise to get back on its feet.

Every situation is lightyears better than Milwaukee man.

Bad tax situation
Cold
Team nowhere near contention
Nobody is tripping over themselves to play with Scottie Barnes (who probably would be included in this trade anyway)
Perkins has no sources

People need to be realistic. If we trade for Giannis consider what is left to play with him considering we will have to gut the team. If we give up Scottie maybe that works but then who is he trying to win a title with? Brandon Ingram and Immanuel Quickley and a bunch of young guys who can't shoot?
We are not in a buyer's mode because we are nowhere near contention. Teams like OKC, Houston and even San Antonio are much further along and have the correct asset base to make both sides of the deal work.
