Clayton played PG last season.RichCollab wrote:Idiosyncratic wrote:Clayton is testing well in the agility portion and had a 37 inch vert as well. I do think he will be in consideration at 16 when it is all said and done.
Don't think all the athletic testing is done, but did see Drake Powell had a 43 inch vert which is near top 10 ever I think. Jase Richardson inherited a little from his dad at least with a 38 inch vert.
For the love of God we better not use another 1st round pick on a guard who isn’t naturally a PG.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
Cedric Coward has better measurements than Jalen Williams did, and he's shooting the ball great. He could jump into the lottery.

That makes him an NBA PG? What about his 1st 3 years of college ball. He is playing PG because he is to small for to play anywhere else.

Uhhh.. the Duke Jones bros? UKs Dillinghham? UNC Coby White? Maxey was the PG i think while Quickley was the offguard.

Murray, Westbrook, and Curry mostly played SG. That's why Curry got picked after two true PGs. They questioned whether he could play PG.RookieStar wrote:basketballRob wrote:Which NBA PG played PG in college? They usually play SG in college.RichCollab wrote:

Maxey was always a SG in high school and college. His first year or so in the NBA people still thought he couldn't play PG.

USG% > AST% = scoring guard
USG% ~ AST% = combo guard
USG% < AST% = facilitating guard
We need a scoring guard

I guess Jase Richardson could turn into a PG. There are so many good players at 16. It's going to be a tough choice.

I'm on the Cedric Coward train now. He's the type of player that San Antonio would take at #14 or OKC at #15.

Yeah but in coach cals system he was the PG and IQ was the offguard.
Just saying there are PGs that played purely the same position in college and pros

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
Does anyone know if Ryan Nembhard is any good? We can’t get his brother Andrew but if he’s just as good, he might be worth drafting.

He might be 5'11 w/o shoes. I'm trying to find the measurements. He played well in the G League combine games.ORLMagicGirl15 wrote:Does anyone know if Ryan Nembhard is any good? We can’t get his brother Andrew but if he’s just as good, he might be worth drafting.

Jase might have to be at his height, but not sure he has the handle or ability to create separation for it. I will say his arms are relatively long, the vert is good, he rebounded decently, defended pretty well, finished well at the rim, so he showed he maybe can overcome his size. I wouldn't blame people for writing him off because of it though, statistics would probably be on their side. Super smart and skilled player, and very accurate shooter though. Unfortunately height is a big deal, especially if you can't handle and pass like a god. I personally would still take Jase, but I am pretty biased at this point as I became a huge fan of his throughout the year.
I do think Clayton has a better chance to be a PG. I mean that is certainly where I would play him and on paper he is a good fit with us. I'd have Clayton behind only Fears and Harper for PGs. Then probably Traore and Philon, but don't love them for us.
I think we are going to deal at least one of these picks though. I think it is the right play to get someone in here that can help now, but it is fun going over the possibilities in the draft.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
Rasheer Fleming is really intriguing. He's fast and has the length and size to play center.

Jokic is 6'10.5" w/o shoes with a 7'3" wingspan. Danny Wolf is close to the same size.

Pretty sure the NBA facilitated Dallas winning the lottery so that LA gets their prize. Shady business.

His numbers are pretty good, I don't care what anyone says I like him.... He's like sengun-like and players like that aren't easy to find..... For me if we keep both picks we should get a guard and a big because to be honest I'm not sure about both Dell and goga still being herebasketballRob wrote:Jokic is 6'10.5" w/o shoes with a 7'3" wingspan.
