Styles make fights, we delivered the left hook to the body, now we deliver the knockout right hook to the head. The Celtics are wounded, but they are at their most dangerous. The job’s not done, and we can’t celebrate until we close the series with four wins. This is the moment.
Keys to the game:
- Crank up the defensive intensity early. This starts with OG and Mikal. Do not wait until quarter 3 to get going. Take the lead early, and deflate the crowd.
- This needs to be a TEAM effort, everyone needs to lock in on their defensive assignments. Offensively move the ball and force them into rotations. Everyone scores, everyone eats
- Be better defensively KAT, with no Tatum, they might still target you on the switch with Brown. Play up on the switches and stop falling back into drop. Have some pride defensively KAT
- Mikal and OG hound them on defense reluctantly. Hound Pritchard and Brown. Stop Pritchard from getting his rhythm and from seeking his 3’s
- Step up Deuce, give us a game with big defensive moments and timely shots
- Cover Derrick White, stick to him and leave him no sliver of daylight, whether it be Hart, Deuce or Mikal
- Expect KP and Horford to play more minutes without Tatum, counter with our double big lineup. Wear them down with Mitch, go get your boards on both ends
- Take us home Brunson, this game is your coronation of being King of NY. Assist, move the ball, and hit the timely shots to close the deal as you always do. This is your moment
Injury report: Tatum out
Do not become complacent, do not look ahead. Play with the same intensity, or even more as if they were fully healthy. Work as a TEAM. This is the most talented Knick team in over 30 years. Go prove the doubters, the haters, the media, the non-believers wrong. The shortcomings of the regular season was just a stepping stone for our greater goal. Shock the world, show them why the ‘25 Knicks’ will forever be remembered and etched into the embers of New York Knick History.
