- Worst regular season in the last 15 years.
- Lost the coin flip with the GSW pick and got the worse of three possible outcomes.
- Played into the playoffs and got mopped.
- Herro tanked trade value.
- AND THEN… we watched our spot in the lottery do the near impossible and get the first overall pick thus missing out on the one thing that would have Maximized this squad immediately!!

Ladies and gents… this offseason is off to such a bang that all we should expect is more disappointment. We are going to draft Shabazz Napier and sign Granger and McBruised type of offseason.

If you think that had we kept our spot would have landed us the first overall pick, then youre not following whats been going on with the NBA draft for 40 years.

We were not getting that pick, it dont matter if we had the worst record in the league.

When Patrick Ewing conveniently landed to the Knicks.
Or Lebron goes to Cleveland of all places
Chicago born top draft pick Derrick Rose goes to.. Chicago
Cleveland gifted 3 more first overall picks in Kyrie, Andrew Wiggins and Bennett (who were traded off for Kevin Love)
Even the spurs getting the top pick to get Wemby was controversial

There is a video of Bill Simmons right after the Luka trade happened where he said if he had to put money on whats going to happen, based on past nba history was that the Mavericks will end up with the top pick.

This is not conspiracy theory, this is straight up bs from the NBA.

I still can't believe we drafted Shabazz Napier to try to appease Lebron. That's got to be the weakest **** ever. No wonder Lebron quit taking our calls. :nonono:

Herro Tanked his trade value?
What was his trade value before this "tanking" you talk about?

And Miami would've NEVER gotten the top pick if they were in the lottery position. You should know that. So that don't bother me one bit

The last two games against the Cavs may have left a sour taste for some fans, but overall, it's a significant leap for a player who was the 13th pick

The NAB Draft Lottery is BS. They need to change it to be like the NFL. This is a scam.

Naw. I think we'd have gotten it for sure. When the entire Jimmy thing went down and Micky and Co took a punch to the face and took a stand for the owners.

I'm so annoyed we made the playoffs. So dumb all Spo had to do was let Terry fly.

All these stars that spurned Riley are paying for their ignorance now.

KD
Donovan Mitchell
Beal (before when we wanted him)
Jimmy

You don't turn your back on the Heat and think you're gonna have success after!!

Some people put way too much weight on a couple bad games after he delivered his best season yet at 25.

Micky would've gotten a phone call to miss the playoffs then

Yea we would’ve gotten it, we all cope differently. Some of us see it for what it is and call it out, others make up conspiracy theories to try and shelf it. That one was a tough pill to swallow, we needed that bad. Would’ve completely changed our outlook

It’s not just Heat fans saying this was rigged though. I think there’s a better chance getting hit by lightening than winning a 1.6% chance lottery. Even Kyrie who plays for the Mavs thought it was comical. Too much coincidences and Tim Donaghy never rigged games either. That was a conspiracy theory too at the time.

1.6% percent chance was not worth risking giving up two future unprotected lottery picks no matter what captain hindsights have to say.
