Before the playoffs (or in) start, would just like to say that the Grizzlies should trade Ja Morant in the offseason. That's all.

I don't think we should simply because we would get a low return and Ja raises our ceiling more than anything else I could see us getting in return. There are obvious exceptions and if Giannis forJa was an option I'd be down, but in general I don't see a deal that makes sense for us given who likely would be available in return.

Just getting rid of him and his baggage will be a plus, long-term.

Trade Ja and do what? Compete with the Kings? Neither Bane nor JJJ is a franchise-level star. We would jump into another period of “dark ages”. Ja just needs a passionate defensive disruptor next to him (like Brooks, Smart, or Vince in our dreams). It is easier to find than to get another franchise star.

Ja is a superstar and no way I trade him at this point in his career. Does get hurt? Of course. He plays with reckless abandon and that’s part of what makes him great. Every team we have had has flaws. ZBO was too slow, we never had true pg, then no sg, no good big man, now no sf to make them pay. Every player has flaws. Even KD was labeled Mr Unreliable.
