Game 5, Round 2 : Denver Nuggets #4 @ Oklahoma City Thunder #1 (2-2)

If we do not win this game, we will be in both remaining games in a position of DO OR DIE, which is a must-win hurdle that nobody wants to face back-to-back vs 68-14 team. So, better win!

Nuggets up by 2 at the half but seems like they let an 11pt lead slip away in the last 3mins of the 2nd. Keep it up Fellas, this is a game we need to win and to shake their confidence, bring back that Championship focus !!!

First time in this series, Denver won 1st quarter and for the first time led at halftime. Very unusual for a half that we started with 2-12 and finished 0-9!?

OKC's hype that they found a magic formula for how to defend Jokic was faced with reality today.

Two games in a row where we have a 4th qtr lead only to lose shows me Adelman in NOT the coach of the future, he doesn't know how to close out a game. Poor shooting effort by MPJ, CB, Westbrook, etc put the nail in our coffin.

More so that we had over 6 minutes with no FG. And no challenges used.

I'm not blaming Adelman for the obvious 4th quarter FATIGUE problem (which is not a bad managing problem), it is not Adelman to be blamed that our FO wasted two seasons to not add a single useful rotational bench player. Braun improved, and we added Westbrook, but we lost KCP and Brown, while Malone wasted the opportunity to develop starter-level talent in Watson.

With Jokic's late improvement on the next MVP level, we would actually be a better team than in the glorious 2023 season, despite a limited 5+1 lineup, but unfortunately, MPJ's injury happened, and Murray is still not back on his famous "playoff Murray" all-star level. That said, if we beat OKC, we will be the #1 favorites to win the ring this season.
