On the plus side he's now gotten more assists in this series than turnovers. He had 21 assists and 23 turnovers through the first 4 games. Now it's 26 assists and 25 turnovers. The Thunder are doing an excellent job of shutting his passing down

That's been the narrative but the reality is Joker is surrounded by a lot of bad basketball players. Guys that have no business playing minutes in a Playoff game. They're missing the majority of these wide open looks when they have fresh legs. If you just replaced Westbrook and Braun with 2 knockdown shooters, Denver wins this series comfortably. That's literally all it would take. Instead, Jokic is surrounded by bums who can't hit an open shot to save their lives. And two of their starters (Murray & MPJ) are absolute horrific defenders. So whatever they points they give you (none from MPJ), they give it right back on the defensive end.

Jokic is literally the easiest player ever to build around and they have the worst supporting cast imaginable around him.

Calvin Booth had an easy job and couldn’t get a backup center. Like they’re on the free market every year and he couldn’t get anyone or build a better team. Man what a tragedy

You would think they'd have been able to get someone like a Jalen Smith over the years. Of course they had Hartenstein if you go back far enough, but he would have become too expensive eventually.

Nuggets had open 3 after open 3 off Jokic’s feeds. They just couldn’t hit any shots.

Nuggets should trade MPJ and 1-2 1st round picks for Durant

PHX can get a way better return than that for KD though. They're not just going to give KD away, especially not for a garbage player/contract like MPJ. Denver is really stuck in a rut here with their cap situation. This is what happens when you give out horrible Max contracts like they did to Murray and MPJ.

That’s their formula. OKC playing tentative is beatable. OKC playing purposeful and aggressive offense is unbeatable

SGA has the incredible luxury of coasting for large portions of the game while the rest of his team does the heavy lifting. Then he takes over late in games when Denver's starters are gassed and looks like the hero.

He's extremely fortunate that he's playing a very flawed Denver team that has no shooting around Jokic. Otherwise he would be getting exposed big time right now and the narrative would be very different surrounding him.

Cool a guy with a weak username reference from a 1999 movie on a basketball forum finds Jokic more likable.

Move along.

It was a book before it was a film.

Not that I expect you to know that.

Based on your post history, there’s a lot of things I don’t expect you to know.

That’s good to know Mr “Norman Powell > Aaron Gordon.”

Watched a completely different game than me-

Sga is playing as the leader of a team -

He isn’t coasting when he is constantly leading in plus minus and plays defense hard when his shots not falling.

But just like Jokic, he defers when the other guys have it rolling - yet still ended up with 31 a bunch of assist and rebounds and steals in the win…

Punishing SgA and Tatum for having strong teams when there are multiple games the nuggets lose if role players don’t make game winning 3s or dunks is illogical

If you want to see 1 v 1 and that’s the only way to judge a player - watch ufc

This stupid lazy kind of take really only applies if a player hasn't taken the same team and one a ring previously, playing the exact same way. Jokic should have had at least 12 assists, he can't help his teammates not brick shots.

Glad to see my boys growing up before our very eyes. The championship trio of Jokic, Gordon and Murray will always keep putting pressure on you but the last 2 games OKC has overcome the pressure, got big stops and hit big shots. They won games I'm not sure they would have won even a week ago. SGA with a big 20 point 2nd half on 75.1% TS.

I hope they can keep it up and close it out, but it's probably going 7. It's easy for people to say "Jokic scored 44 and they still lost so how can they possibly win" but they won game 3 with him scoring 20 points on 8-25. The non-Jokic players scored 93 points on 60 shots that game, 16-30 3pt. Their roleplayer shooting at home will likely be lots better.

Also quick reminder that Dort shot 41% from 3pt this season on 6 attempts per game. I agree with Daigs pulling him at 2-10 last game, but it's not a fluke for him to hit wide open threes.

his teammates are not dependable

as usual, mpj was a waste....time and time again. he epitomizes what kind of player the 3pt shot is producing

Do you understand that threads like these are being stored at the digital data centers? They consume energy and they are stored forever. To produce energy you need to make our planet lil bit less healthy.

Could you please double check if the thread is worth it before creating it. Save the mother Earth.

Thank you.

Braun’s drop off in production from reg season to playoffs this year has been brutal. He’s unplayable atm except that’s there’s no one else who can take his minutes.
