Because of Brown.

He was historically bad.

Also it's not ridiculous to blame Brown for the injury. He made the turnover that literally lead to it.

If turnover Brown could make a 2 foot pass without being a bitch about it you wouldn't be here.

Tatum and Brown were average at best when we choked games 1 and 2, not having any production from Porzingis all series long crushed any chances we had. Knicks won game 4 but the C's beat themselves in game 1-2 and Mazzulla is a borderline AAU coach. There you go plenty of blame to go around, injuries, illness, lack of depth and barely any bench. Hence why we are down 1-3

Don't worry about it. You have all next season to find out what some of us already know about brown.

your wayyy too fixated on JB and sticking to your narrative, move on man. This reminds me of the Mahcusss Smahhht Stans. Did you enjoy Banner 18 last year or did you sit and complain the entire run?! NBA Finals MVP nuff said

So wait. He was atrocious last night and I'm supposed to bow because they win the championship last year?

Last year was an anomaly and this year is a return to course for Brown.

That's the narrative.

As someone who wanted Marcus Smart traded since 2016 and a JB fan, I can tell you that JB is a great 3rd piece on a contender but he is going to be completely exposed tomorrow (as we have seen before). If we go into next season with him leading this team, we will be tanking any bit of trade value he may have.

Oh that’s going to be next year. You’ve been complaining about him for a while so you’re consistent I’ll give you that

There is zero world where dip **** brown could be a MVP. I would never say that.

I have my issues with Brown but your takes are just ridiculous. And the fact that you have to resort to childish insults towards the guy…..It’s a game.

Cool. Why we acting like if tatum didn't blow his leg up like today we weren't going to blame last night sloss squarely on brown?

man, when Brunson was eating Derrick's lunch, and we had no real counter, I was so frustrated... why don't we have Jordan Walsh, our 21 yr old, 6-7 defensive athlete with a 7-2 wingspan, prepped and ready to come in and relieve Derrick for 4-6 minutes. Why?

Is it because our coach is just biasd against younger guys? Rondo and Powe played as 2nd yr players. Avery Bradley played as 2nd yr player. Tony Parker started for the 2003 Spurs when was 19. Is it that Walsh stinks? Is it that Joe didn't think of it? Is it just that Joe looked at his 3pt% and decided he can't play because we only have one style?

The fact that we have re-oriented our entire team around who can shoot 3's to the exclusion of everything else, so we can make no adjustments because we have become so rigidly ideological ... it just seems like we should have played Walsh and Scheierman over the course of the season so we had more options.

You look at what Rick Carlisle has done with this Pacers team vs. what he did with the Mavs. Not a chance Joe can adapt to personnel or circumstance. He has his way and that's it. He's gotta go.

Can’t echo this enough. Joe is just so stubborn and single minded it’s beyond frustrating. We clearly got out hustled and lacked energy in these games. I don’t think Torrey Craig or Baylor Scheierman turn this series on its head but they both ball out when they’re in and give a spark. I don’t even understand the point of signing Craig if you’re not even going to give him spot minutes.

This!

This is Joe's stubbornness and rigidness and Brad's imposing his basketball style on team's composition
What was the reason to trade Springer? We could have used him on Brunson. Ahhh, he can't shoot the 3
With our offense in all second halves consisting of contested fade away 3s I don't see the problem

Also, why get KP when you know he is a walking injury. Ahhh, he is a 3pt shooting big

We need a new GM and coach going forward. This style worked for one championship. This playoff shows that the laws of averages is less effective in the short playoff. These playoffs are real physical and slow (except for IND). Time to get more athletic and physical
