All this "Western Conference so brutal" talk is pretty funny when there's still a very real chance that zero Top-3 seeds could be in either Conference Final this year. Like, if you're gonna continue arguing that "there's never been more parity than now", then that's precisely the reason why you go out and trade whatever you can for a once-in-a-generation superstar lol. For as focused as Giannis is on winning, unless it’s a can’t miss situation (San Antonio), I got a hard time seeing him much less the league enthusiastic about a different smaller market like Cleveland or OKC.

Houston is who I’d be more concerned that Giannis would be tempted by.

Am choosing to believe he would not want to play in Dallas under Nico and Kidd.

This is also where Giannis might give the Bucks another season when he’ll have more control to dictate where he goes as well as giving his preferred teams time to load up on tradable pieces.

1. Getting Giannis makes OKC an absolute juggernaut that is realistically capable of winning 3-5 of the next five titles

Not sure why everyone assumes this. Giannis & Dame in theory were supposed to be unstoppable. It didn't work.

OKC would realistically need to give us Holmgren & Jalen Williams on top of picks. That leaves Shai, Dort, Hartenstein, Wallace, Wiggins, Joe and Caruso as your core around Giannis (with a bunch of late 1sts in the cupboard). Where's the juggernaut? Is anyone even pretending to be the 3rd banana there?

Depending on the team’s respective timelines, yes Flagg may have more value. Hes getting older, the new CBA is ass and Giannis takes up a huge chunk of the cap. If you don’t have a good team filled out around him you’re not on the Giannis timeline.

The outlier would be desperate teams like Brooklyn. A team so desperate they would give up everything for Giannis without having a championship team around him.

Giannis was spotted in Wyoming 4 years ago and Wyoming is kind of like Utah. So I think Giannis is going to be playing for the Jazz next season.

Haha, I wasn't coming at you man. I see this opinion everywhere and I think it's legitimate discussion. SGA is ball dominant like Dame and needs the ball to be effective. He's not a catch and shoot guy, he creates his own offense. I think we've seen that ball dominant guards won't work with Giannis, as opposed to someone who's elite off the ball like a Steph. To question whether I know the difference between SGA and Dame is wild

Vanderbilt, the Thompsons, and Dyson Daniels are all better perimeter defenders just thinking off the top of my head but that's neither here nor there. The spacing between Hartenstein & Giannis would be bad. As for the rest of the role players you mentioned, I mean, sure. Don't see the massive difference you do between those guys and guys like Trent, AJ Green, and KPJ.

We dont really get any cap room in this and take on more long-term salary. Don't really see how dumping $9m in expiring contracts and then $22m more expiring the next year helps us...like at all. If anything Patty C might be a positive at the deadline taking on players helping team avoid tax issues.
