Tell me you're kidding.
Wiz would have ZERO interest in this. PG13 is the WORST contract in the NBA and its not that close, even with Beal around.
Do people not realize how bad PG13 was last year?... and he has 3 MORE YEARS at ~54M/year left?

Hard to gauge value, last year the cost definitely wasn't that, I'm not sure this year, but every draft has tiers, but 2 years of 30% max is a very steep price and not trivial that WAS pays it.

The tiers this year are
1 -- Flagg
--------------------
2-- Harper
--------------------
3-6 (several strong wing prospects, maybe a big)

This is a year where the difference between 3 and 6 isn't as big as the difference between 2 and 3 if everything stays the same as now (which it may not).

Don't think I agree with this (I think there's a third tier of Ace, VJ, Tre and then a bit of a drop off at 6), but even if you think there's not a huge difference between 3 and 6, getting your first choice of those guys (as opposed to your last choice) holds a fair amount of value.

I think this deal underestimates how bad PGs contract is compared to his production. WAS would need a lot more to take it on. They just got out of Beals deal, why go tie themselves to another similar but worse and longer deal?

I do think WAS should try and package Middleton and/or Smart to a team looking to cut salary in the future, but PG isn’t the answer. Maybe take a swing at a younger player like Kuminga, but not anyone not named Flagg or Harper in this draft.
