Anyone else getting the feeling of KD going somewhere else for cheap while we wait to be disappointed by Giannis news?

I'd be curious to know if KD is as interested in playing here as much as local media likes to insinuate. I know there's been interest in the past but that doesn't necessarily guarantee current interest, they're masters of manipulating this fanbase.

Mitchell anywhere near 9 mil a year is a value signing.

His career numbers say NBA minimum. Even earlier this season he looked like a minimum player. We need to stop making this mistake over and over and over again. A guy is not his best stretch of basketball. A guy is his typical stretch of basketball.

Hopefully Pat recognizes that Mitchell is Vincent 2.0 and lets him walk.

I still think $9-11 mil per is a deal for Mitchell regardless. He competed well all season especially in the playoffs. Much better than Rozier off the bench.

Im ok with giving davion his qo but riley will definitely try to get him on a discount, and thats where we may strike out.

If we keep Davion i hope he invests his offseason with a shooting coach, whoever can sharpen his shooting from 3 point range.. The Heat will have to do the other part which is getting him to understand the offense so that he sees the court better because he made a ton of questionable passes..

It could be a wild offseason:

- Giannis might be moved
- Durant might be moved
- Celtics might move Brown (his contract is crazy, but this would be a way to get a fitting quality wing for the Heat, because they can make a deal work)
- Celtics almost certainly are going to move KP or Jrue (don't want either, but who knows)
- Cavs are a 2nd apron team and might have to move one of their big 4

I think this will be absolutely crazy, I'd try to offer Terry/Wiggins for Brown (if he is on the market) to match salary + Jovic or Jaquez or both + draft capital to facilitate the deal, for sure needs to be a multi team trade.

If they go all in on the Bam/Herro build, I prefer they do it with a player on their timeline, Ware/Bam/Herro/Brown/Davion actually looks like a team that can defend and if Herro keeps improving might also be competend on offense, because Brown is a wing who can exploit mismatches.

Why would the Celtics trade Brown? Holiday is the guy they need to move. He turns 35 in a month and > $35 million each of the next 3 years is way too much to pay him at this point. Porzingis and White and Horford also need to go. It was fun (for them) while it lasted, but now it's time to move on and rebuild around Brown and Tatum.

Their big money is tied up in Brown and Tatum. One of them was going to get traded eventually. Now Tatum is broken, return will be low. So might as well trade Brown and get a bigger return for the reset. Maybe even get a lotto pick next season and tank while Tatum rehabs.

Perfect world we sign Mitchell and draft a young PG of the future locking that position up cheap for the foreseeable future.

Yup, we desperately need a full-time floor general. Davion will be great in the backup, defensive specialist role, but we need a QB pg. Don't even need to be a star. Just a solid one. It will unlock so much potential of Ware, Bam, n Herro. Adding a solid pg to the current group, we are already in the 4-6 seed range in the East next year, imo

I’m seeing a lot of spurs fans leaning this way. They prefer to keep all the picks and youth to develop as opposed to the instant pressure of having to win with Giannis. Not sure the FO there agrees but we’ll see

I doubt we get Giannis but I hope someone else gets KD. I can’t get excited about a KD team that maxes out as a 2nd round exit if everything goes right. Then in 2 years looking for another #1.

Worst case scenario Heat give up draft picks, then have to extend KD, followed by him getting hurt at his age.

If the Heat put themselves in a position for that to happen then they’ll deserve it if it does!
