Brunson is changing the knicks culture.
I had this doom about closing this out cause of knicks trauma but fck all that. After seeing this i believe he is going to carry us to the ecf.
Brunson having a 40 piece on Friday. Just relax and have some nerd clusters until then!
Brunson gonna maul these doods, at first I thought 30, after this I think he drops 40, but fiddy might not be out the realm
He’s pissed you can tell
The Knicks got MAULED this game

KAT is so terrible at defense man. He sometimes single handedly gives up leads with his lack of defensive IQ. We gotta somehow package him this off-season for Giannis.
Fire Thibs!

10 blocks for Kornet? lol
Things will relegate itself to the norm game 6, we are closing it out, chill out and take a deep breath
Exactly. The fix was in and Lowkey I think Thibs left Brunson in cause if they didn’t want him to play in clutch time, then you take him out.
That 3rd quarters was a crime….. and Brown squeezed Harts testicles and they didn’t do anything about it. Like come on….

They got into rhythm and rolled away with the lead. They played our defense like a fiddle once the game swung their way. Fouls helped get them rolling,
Oh well. Still up 3-2. I'm not really upset. I actually had real life issues really make me angry this evening after work. I don't think I could get angry again for the day. Thibs sucks. Let's go Knicks.
20FTA in the third lol, how in the hell is that even possible?
Knicks win game 6 pretty comfortably
Make the next GT, LFGK, I got us one, you bring home the last one

I hope the game tells them to guard three and maybe shoot some as well

OG going 1/12 or whatever he was. Just embarrassing. Game 2 he had 5 points, game 3 he had 2 points and tonight he had 6 points.
Kat is a cone on defense and very limited offensively if he's not being setup with catch and shoot 3s which is something this team/scheme simply does not do - and tonight seemingly the gameplan was not to post him at all.
I think I'm going to have to accept the distinct possibility that the Knicks blow this and lose the series. That way if they don't, great. But if they do it won't be as devastating.
Going into this series I had low expectations. We struggled against a mid Pistons team that honestly didn't even play well. I was hopeful the knicks could be competitive and maybe push it to 6 but at least avoid getting blown out every game. This series has been extremely weird with the Knicks comebacks and then they FINALLY play a great game in game 4 - the only game I would consider a great performance all around this entire postseason... and they follow it up with this complete dud. I just don't know how to have faith in this team but I will hope for the best but expect the worst. Losing after going up 3-1 will be far more devastating that if they had just lost in 5-6 (or got swept) as originally expected. Especially with a beatable Pacers team waiting in the ECF.
This is how I feel, although I don't care that much already ... benefit of being old
You know I don't think there's any core here, which is what you're getting at. Seeing is believing ... KAT just seems like he's got too many holes
You don't go from really questionable sht like we're seeing to suddenly championship form
I hate being the bearer of bad news ... Brunson has done some crazy stuff and I get that, and there are times the team looks really good
But the lows are too low to believe there isn't a set of fundamental and insurmountable problems ... I don't think they just go away
I agree, Pistons didn't even play well and we were lucky to win that series too
It sucks but yeah

I agree with this, normally I’m pulling my hair out, but after this game I’m not. We went into half tied
Only for them to attempt 20 Ft’s
Have us be in the penalty with 9:30 seconds left in the period
And Jalen picked up 5 fouls in ONE quarter? Nahhh that fix was in
I’m not even mad, I think we body them in the next game and finally shed their dead weight

The Knicks play well when there’s a sense of urgency
If there’s a sense of urgency, they play with pedal to the metal
I knew we weren’t going to close this game on their home floor. Not only would the refs not allow us to take this on their home court, but now they can ride the “do it for Tatum” wave
We couldn’t close in 5 against Philly, We couldn’t close in 5 against Detroit, and now didn’t close in 5 against the celtics, we closed the previous two series in 6, and I know we will close this series in 6 at home

Re: PG: First road loss in this playoff
Looking at the play-by-play in the 3rd quarter. How crazy is this?!?
https://www.espn.com/nba/playbyplay/_/gameId/401769750
Kornet had as many 5 blocks between the 8:19 and 2:27 marks
At 8:19, the score was 68-72
At 2:27, the score was 76-89
Kornet alone stopped us from scoring up to 10 points. He destroyed our momentum in the 3rd. What a wild card. If it wasn't for Kornet, we could have kept it close going into the 4th. He completely took us out of our rhythm.
5 blocks in less than 6 minutes is insane.

If Kat would just make himself freeking useful and bomb some threes it would pull their bigs out of the paint

Re: PG: First road loss in this playoff
I hate to say it but this was probably the most demoralizing loss in my entire life of watching this team
Even though I knew it was coming, it didn't matter. I have a nagging feeling it is more than just an inability to close out type loss, there is probably something bigger at play here and dear lord if the worst case scenario happens, holy ****.
I thought the ptsd of the garden was gone after we won last game but the way we lost this one, I think it completely brought it back. I'm now 100% sure the garden will be tight as **** with massive ptsd in game 6.

Not even bothered.
We’ll win this series back in the Garden before the Knicks home crowd.
Knicks in 6.

Maybe his injured left ring finger is affecting his confidence to knock down threes?
KAT's is mostly scoring in the paint or going left as seen in the shot chart.
He is 2 of 13 from three against the Celtics

That's the expectation the NBA wants set to make TV eyeballs are comfortable. The Knicks a 20-year punching bag. I hoped they'd kill that tonight with the winning DNA displayed Game 1, Game 2, and Game 4. Extremely disappointing, and I understand the feeling cause I'm paranoid of the same things.

Apparently the knicks can't win past the first round unless they're the underdogs. Meaning this is def going to a game 7 but the good news is they'll win there if the trend holds up.
