Better handles, better passing and better defense. I think McNeeley is more like Kispert.

I think the Ivisic brothers are options at 39 as well.

Gun to your head - which aforementioned trio do you think will carve out better careers? My money would be on Maluach, Fears, and Bryant.

There is little to none separation outside of the top 4.

I am not sold on Carter Bryant/Noa/Flemming where we are drafting as i think there are better players on board at 9....If we trade Dick for a pick to grab one of them in the teens...Great....But at 9 is a little rich for me...And i think Masai goes BPA at 9 anyways..

Ah the great tradition of getting high on draft previews and underrating your own players.

You're ready to trade Dick..a player with tons of potential and displayed NBA level play who's 21... For a mid teens draft pick?

My ideal draft right now, barring any trades:

9) Bryant / Flemming
39) Markovic / Kalkbrenner / Yang
UDFA) Sears / Proctor

Barnes - Boucher (resigned) - Chomche
Ingram - Bryant
Poeltl - Kalkbrenner - Robinson
Barrett - Ochai - Walter - Dick
Quickley - Shead - Sears

We really need to move or consolidate one of Barrett, Ochai, Dick, or Walter. They are all best used at the SG spot and there's only so much playing time there.

As of now my selections for #9 would be:

(Assuming Maluach is off the board)

1. Traore
2. Fears
3. Bryant

I'd do that just so Darko will be tempted to have us deploy to Kornet Contest.

Last year I thought it was a top 18 Draft and we were sitting at 19. Although I wouldn't of mind Jaylon Tyson who went 20th.
This year it looks like a top 8 draft & we are sitting at 9.
Cooper/Harper/Ace/VJ/Tre/ Queen/fears/Maluach seems like the consensus top 8
Hopefully someone's stock rises

Can't tell if this is sarcasm or not with the top 18 comment, I assume it is.

Remember when we had the 9th pick and had to settle for Poeltl in a top 8 draft where Chriss was the 8th guy?

https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/marquese-chriss-1.html

Those are the stats of a late 2nd round pick that isn't good enough to play in the NBA 95% of the time.
Internet draft scouting is terrible. NBA teams have gotten a lot better, but there's still a number of teams that draft like the guys on ESPN or draftnet rank guys. There's a reason Nick Smith Jr dropped out of the first round and Jalen Hood Schifino fell to the Lakers and might have fallen out of the first if they didn't take him there.

Really good 3rd option. But he's probably got a really high floor.

Kon is the boring safe pick. He'll be good but I don't see a star player outcome

at sg or sf, can he defend? we cant have him and gradey out there if he cant.

Not well enough to play with Gradey.

I think Kispert and less dynamic Desmon Bane feel like the right comps, but he putting up similar college numbers as a freshman to their senior years.

It's not crazy at all.

We have far too many wings - not enough money and minutes for everyone. Looking at our crop, Barrett and Ingram should be locks to start on the wing. Then you have Walter, Agbaji, Dick and - to a lesser degree - Mogbo who all need minutes and we need a big. All of them are better than Dick on defense as well.

Shooters are quite valuable in this league. If there's an opportunity to move him for a guy like Fleming, it's a no brainer

Selling as low as you can go.

Raptors draft a big man with 9 or 39 then the team has balance.

So yes it is a crazy nonsense move. Stop sniffing that draft preview glue.

Bro did you read anything I said?

It's not about selling low or balancing the roster with another big. We DO NOT HAVE THE MINUTES for Agbaji, Walter AND Dick. So taking a swing on another player that can plug other holes in the roster and/or has better potential makes a ton of sense.

If you can't see that then I'm not sure there's anything else I can do for you.

Oh I read your post..but it's complete nonsense.

We don't have the time..so the solution is getting a even younger player who requires minutes...

Including Mogbo in your rational is just the cherry on the top. Smallball Center/PF definitely needs minutes at 2.

If they are going to move off a player it's probably Agbaji or RB with a salary concerns in mind. If there's a move it's happening around the deadline not this draft.

I would say it is one or the other of these two.

Maluach or Queen. One of them will be there.

The real Jak is in his prime and we are grooming Chomche. A centre with offence is a strong possibility.

I would not mess with Gradey's trajectory. Too knneejerk.
