That’s why I was thinking of Jrue Holiday however he makes way too much money. Marcus Smart? He scheduled to make $21M this season and is currently in Washington.

Everyone has to remember too that as it is right now they are $15M over the 1st apron. They need to shed salary before acquiring a PG or they need to shed the salary in the trade (3-team trade maybe?).

Nico has to promise Klutch he's drafting Bryce too. Or else no deal.

I actually read last night that Labron is looking for a 2 year extension with the Lakers. He wants to play with both Bronny and Bryce.

I think Mavrelous brought up the idea.

If you pool together our small contracts, Klay + Powell + Hardy + Omax which are all expiring or with one year left, this should be enough to match Jrue's contract. 2nd assumption is Boston is just looking to shed salary. Highly likely they are with that tax bill.

Lebron is wasting Luka's time. Lebron is just handing out favors to his family. Luka is looking to compete. At this rate, Lebron probably wants to play til he's 45. Pelinka and the Lakers know how to treat their stars. But winning is another story.

Ja Morant is competitive player for sure. I'm not sure Morant is the right PG to build around long-term. I still lanes towards Kyrie if the price isn't crazy. The AD connection and Duke connection do wonder on court. And the contract expires with AD. By then, Flagg and DLive gets extension. Things are not the same with Morant. Cap issues are way more complicated. I'd rather have a combo guards with smaller price tag, e.g. Malik Monk.

The Mavs rob this trade. Fakers overpay Memphis.

Dude... stop reading nonsense trades and use your head. No one will do this stupid type of thing. There is only one idiot GM in the league and he's running the Mavs.

That would actually be the most logical and smartest idea. Get some extra draft capital, maybe even get a young future potential star in return and go from there.

How about DLo for our PG? It think he is free agent this season.

For the vet minimum, I think that's fine.

You're correct. Even if Mavs move Gaff without taking back salary, they'll still only be able to sign players through vet min contracts. That's mostly because Flagg's contract will already be high and we still speculate that Kyrie will demand same or even bigger paycheck. Then next in question is Exum. They'll probably try and retain him since he's been solid when healthy and would be cheap.

Here’s two more names I heard this morning as possible PG targets.

Markell Fulz
Chris Paul

I would rather raid the D League to get a point guard than to sign Fultz.

Maybe you make a call to Derrick Rose for 1-year veteran minimum.

Would Minnesota be open to trading Mike Conley?

Alonzo is an option. The Mavs better hire an A+ medical staff though.

They said Luka will be too expensive, would be funny if they start spending money now

He traded for AD because "the future is now" and puts Mavs in a better position to win. He already said he wants to max AD. Same goes for Kyrie. Remember how Nico praised his work ethics and how he fits the culture? He'll probably do anything to keep him. Two injury prone "old" guys will take a lot of roster cap space for no reason at all. He should go into a soft rebuild and focus on Flagg.

But here is also the funny part. Mavs could easily build a nr1 contender with the options that they have but i don't trust him to be that smart. But at least Flagg will be drafted into a "ready to win now" team instead of wasting years before even getting a proper center.

The new owners need to take the blindfolds off and be thankful Mavs got #1. The direction and solution is simple. Fire Nico, trade AD for the best possible package, built around Flagg.

AD will never be embraced by the Mavs faithful. He's soft and isn't willing to do what's best for the team (play center when asked, forcing NO to trade him to LA), and though not his fault, he was traded for Luka. He'll never be able to make up for that. Please trade him while he still has some value, especially out East where Bos and Mil will take huge steps back and it's wide open. A team may be willing to pay up

I don't think the Mavs trade him. And unless your getting a Giannis back some how, who's legitimately out there that gives you a better shot in the playoffs than AD on the floor?

All I ask of management is please improve b-ball iq and go after two way players. Get another legit ball handler creator / point guard. Be patient. Boston might move some of their pieces to the West. I prefer D. White over Holiday at this point. One is more 30 and the other is 34.
The Mavs really need more cerebral - high iq - basketball players.

You said it with how you ended it. With AD on the floor. The guy is never on the floor. We thought we had it bad with Luka, good grief we traded for one of the few guys who's even less reliable.

He's done, there is no juice to squeeze.
Mavs need real help, 30 MPG guard at least who can score and pass.
Defense wins draft lotteries!
