How anyone could be against it at this point is mind blowing. Chris Livingston took up a chair for two years.

Livingston. What a joke selection and contract.

You watch Nembhard in these playoffs and realize not only could we have drafted him over MarJon, but Horst has been a failure at finding Nembhard’s. That’s hurt us as much as anything

Drafting Livingston as a favour for Klutch will pay off eventually

Wonder if Boston would be receptive to taking Dame + 31 1st for Jaylen Brown. Some silly Celtics fan made Giannis trade for Tatum trade but it makes more sense for Boston to take a gap year with Tatum out and their costs so high. They could come back with 31 1st and a top pick in 26 with Tatum & Dame coming back too with way less money owed. Maybe make it bigger and send Kuzma to tank command with Jrue coming home, Bucks just have to add small salary to make it work in checker

MarJon too.

Relationship with Klutch started with Bledsoe.

this is actually a solid idea... just don't think boston would do it because of the optics... I think bucks would have to throw in more as well to get brown. But i'd definitely explore something like this if i were the bucks.

Boston will get much better offers if/when they put Jaylen on the market. Ultimately I really doubt they're trading him though. I think Jrue ends up in Denver somehow.

Speaking of, maybe facilitating two tax teams would be a fun exercise:

MIL Out: Kuzma, Pat
MIL In: Michael Porter Jr. Dario Saric, Boston 2025 1st (28th)

BOS Out: Jrue, 2025 1st
BOS In: Kuzma

DEN Out: MPJ, Saric
DEN In: Jrue, Pat

The contract is a joke for Livingston. Gave him 3 guaranteed years to develop into a solid role player at best. But the selection is normal. It's the last pick in the draft. The efficacy for those players is very low. You should trade out of the pick & sign undrafted 2-ways for minimal investment (Green).

However, the efficacy is not low for later 1sts or even high 2nds. Those you need to hit on. He's had too many swings & misses. That's where the real failure is. You mentioned Marjon. But Ajax too. And I'm not keen on Tyler Smith. He drafts too many projects w/out high upside even.

Yeah, Denver is the team for Jrue from a basketball sense.

Pretty good trade for everyone.

Same. I'm leaning sarcasm, given the history of cynicism.

Trent is a Klutch client. So it already did pay off? People can still quibble if it's worth it.

They are trying to get under the 2nd apron though so why bother. JB is young and good too can just wait for Tatum to come back.

Also why does anyone want to extend Pat? Hope he opts in and a 9M expiring is extremely valuable..

I was talking to someone the other day about how I feel like we might be one of the only teams that would be interested in trading for Porter. It really wouldn't surprise me.

Not saying I want Porter. But he would be an absolute buy low and hope for the best type move, in our situation that might be the best we can do. Assuming Den loses, I'm sure he's the shake up they're going to try. Joker has to be furious one of their 30 mil type players is unplayable right now and bricks every shot he takes. If they could move him for a healthier more reliable guy, whoever that might be, Denv is still a big time threat. Maybe that guy is Kuz, jk

Posters getting upset at the Bucks taking Livingston at the end of round two is weird.

No one else agrees with me, but I actually think he's gotten a lot better when I saw him with the Herd. His bench time with the Bucks is meaningless.

I still give him a 10% chance at being playable eventually, but I have no faith Doc knows whether a player is decent or not.

It's risky but I think Porter is a prime candidate to actually look better away from Jokic/Murray. Seems like such a waste of his offensive talent to have him be nothing more than a spot-up shooter, even if he is really good at it. I think he could pretty easily be a 20-25 PPG on 60+ TS guy playing off Giannis' gravity.

1. KPJ - He can be signed relatively cheap, and I think, like Bobby, there might be a discount. Hold it down until Dame gets back then he becomes a nice player off the bench.
2. Green - He'll be even better in 25-26. Extend him please.
3. ????? - Find a 3&D guy like the 19-20 version of Wesley Matthews. (B. Brown?, G. Harris? Thybulle?)
4. Giannis
5. Bobby

Bench:

Rollins - I'm far from sold on him as a rotational player, but the Bucks have to roll the dice that someone cheap will take a step forward.
Kuzma - Just have to hope he can play well so he can be moved. He's currently sits in Bucks history with Grevis Vasquez and Anthony Mason.
Sims - Need a big and he's cheap and mobile. Also like the chemistry with KPJ.
????? - Need some scoring (Hardaway Jr?, Smamet? )
PC - Giannis's lifting partner.

Home run signing: Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Gone:
Trent Jr - He's more of a Bryn Forbes than a starter IMO. I don't think you can pay him starter's $$$.
Brook - Will always be a favorite, but its time.
Prince - On the minimum, sure.
AJax - No development. DJ Wilson clone.
Livingston - No reason to keep paying him.

Obviously, the goal is to tread water and pray Dame can come back healthy in time for the playoffs. None of this really matters if Doc is still the coach.

Wouldn't this put the Bucks back over the apron? I suppose if Lopez, Kuzma and Portis are gone, it could work. But the other teams would be getting worse.

Bobby's gonna get paid and you just have to pray that it's a reasonable enough contract. If it's a 4-year deal then the last 1-2 years of that are gonna get pretty ugly.
