They’ve treated him very well financially. He’s also now finally seeing a commitment of being consistently competitive and winning with the acquisitions of Tyrese and Pascal.

I believe that he will prioritize being a part of a winning team. I think he will opt for a contract with more years (since he’s relatively young still) and take slightly less $$ yearly but overall have more years of a salary.

I think they want to resign him but they also want to stay out of the Luxury Tax. Right now I'd say there is a 90% chance he's resigned as soon as they can. Depending on the season up coming he could get traded but only if the season goes bad which I think would be due to injuries. My guess is he gets about the same kind of money as Allen although he is probably worth more.

that will be hard to do without trading Obi, Nesmith, or Nembhard but they might be willing to pay tax if they stay below the aprons. they could also trade their 2025 first for a 2026 first as they don't have one that year.

Let me tell you something as a former Mavs fan but now a Pacers fan.

Losing Turner for this franchise would be equivalent to Mavs lost Brunson.

Yeah it felt really dirty tonight the way the lottery was manipulated. I can understand the slight to the Hornets train wreck but the Wizards falling was sad as they’re a lot farther away from the prize than the Mavericks. I’m glad the Jazz fell and wish the Spurs fell out and would have rather had the Pelicans win the lottery.

I'm with ya,... I wasn't impressed that Dallas won,... with a 1.8% chance,... I don't generally believe this thing being fixed,... but it really felt like the league HAD to do something to address the unrest in the Dallas fan base? it being a major, big market city,... It did feel corrupted somehow. I also would have liked a team that had a direction,... but really lacked the committed talent (thinking Pelicans,.. even new look wizards,... or rebuilding Brooklyn) to win? Could have been really marketable to see the Nets working to develop players instead of trying to buy all-stars?

Dallas,... it just seems like a 'make up' call,... Could even have been agreed with Dumont as a payback for pushing out Cuban? Which would make the whole Luka trade seem so much more reasonable, as they already knew (if they could get into the lottery) that they would have some push?

Spurs?... League is trying to market Wemby (both here & BIG push in EU to bring the 'NBA' league to EU) but he needs more around him to become a league poster-boy?... 76er's?... Morey's focus on expensive, old veterans has them going nowhere fast. the best (and most interesting) part of their team has been their recently drafted starters?... Had to stabilize that situation & create some positivity,... again they have a huge fan base, who have gotten fed up with the Embiid years?... Charlotte,... = train wreck,... again,.. new owners who were slow to be convinced to buy into the league?... again, a little push?... Jazz,... full on rebuild mode,... they don't yet have a direction, as they don't have cohesive players (in terms of style) to define how they are building & going to play? It's just adding to their talent pool?

Lottery is going to cause a bit of fall-out in this draft,... at least it will be interesting to see where all this goes?... :)

Please take claims the lottery was manipulated to the General Board. The result was unlikely but numerous Pacer wins have been even more unlikely.

At times I think the NBA is as fake as the WWE. When you see stars and preferred teams getting the nod every time on calls it makes you wonder. But then the Pacers KO Giannis and then KO the #1 seed Cavs and I start to think maybe this snizzle is not rigged after all.

I have a hard time believing that the owners of the small market teams would put up with a system that fixed games so they would lose to large market teams. they do have big money riding on their ability not to suck.

Yeah,... I don't think the games are actually 'rigged'. I do think the officials can influence a game,... they might even be able to swing a win here & there if a game is close,... but if your team is doing it's job & putting the other team away,... I don't think the officials can prevent that team winning?

The back office stuff?.... idk? Given the odds for each of the selections as they fell on lottery night,... a quick calculation tells you the astronomical odds of those teams, landing those picks,.... It's enough to make me think that even if the system isn't rigged,... the way they make the selection should become highly suspect,... that there might be some bias in the selection process (they use multiple selections to come up with a code that is unique to 1 team),... that maybe because those selections are multiple, and the way it generates the 'code', could have some unintended bias built into the process?.... Would take a real scientific statistician to understand the real odds,... and not a financier or economic statistical analyst?

Back on topic there’s no way after this playoff run that the Pacers will be trading Myles Turner or any of the other 4 starters. The rest of the team will be fair game if the roster needs tweaking to make it even stronger or financially feasible.

Oh, a Myles Turner trade would not come of Indy’s own volition this summer. It would only come if Myles agreed to terms elsewhere and Indy was able to turn it into an outgoing sign and trade.

We may want to keep Myles, but if Giannis gets traded to Brooklyn and says “I really want to play with a stretch center”, they could overpay a lot.
