He was impressively awful. I can't believe it took this long tbh.

Pathetic when Monasterio is an upgrade.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Monasterio's replacement. Was just DFA'd this week and elected FA.

Well that's interesting. Guessing Woody takes his spot in the rotation?

I'm pretty surprised they sent Myers down instead of Priester. Myers was awesome for them last season so I thought he'd get the longer leash of the two. The Brewers actions are showing just how much they really like Priester

I'm ready to start the fire-sale as soon as possible. Anyone who's likely to be past their prime or unaffordable in 2028 can go. They've had a really good run, but even miraculously winning the division would still almost certainly put them in another one of those damn 3-game series.

I don't even think they're that bad, but I'd like to take advantage of this opportunity to sell when things look bleak. Stockpile for a more title-worthy core in the latter part of this decade.

Thinking about what a fire sale might look like. Assuming everyone is healthy I think these are the obvious ones to go:

Pitchers:
Freddy Peralta - No sense in waiting. You maximize the return and don't have to worry about him blowing out his shoulder in August or September.
Jose Quintana - He'd probably bring back a nice lottery ticket
Nestor Cortez - Hopefully he's healthy enough in June and July to put up some nice starts
Aaron Civale - Same

Hitters:
Rhys Hoskins - Has a mutual option that won't be exercised. Maybe he gets a little hot over the next few months and the Brewers get another lottery ticket

Freddy being remarkably healthy scares the hell out of me. Trade him. If we somehow stay in the division race then trade him in the off-season.

Agreed, and hopefully they get back some power bats. I've grown tired of all these tiny players who'll likely never surpass 12 homers in a year. How many "high contact" guys with no power does one team really need?

I would trade Contreras as well. He's a catcher. It reminds me of Lucroy, where you talk about being able to play him at 1B/DH because his bat will play there, but the problem is that he loses a ton of his surplus value if you do that and he's still going to have to make that transition with extra wear and tear on his knees. Just trust the analytics re: catchers breaking down like running backs.

I'm not saying that Contreras doesn't have a few more prime years left; I'm just saying that this team doesn't have enough of a window in those two years.

NBA is going to miss BA on the call, but selfishly I'm glad to have him back for more Brewers games.

That’s a wrap. My @nbaontnt days are over. I’m sticking with TNT Sports and the Brewers moving forward, covering sports and events I absolutely love with the people I absolutely love. I’ve had a blast covering the NBA for the Spurs and TNT for all these years. Been a true honor and I’ll always be a fan.

Plenty of great events ahead with MLB, College Hoops, March Madness, Roland-Garros and who knows what else. Onward!

Awesome. His current TNT deal limits him to 50 Brewer games. Hopefully that's increased/removed. If he really ramps up Brewers next year it probably means Levering bails, he wants to do TV full time. He's not horrible but I wouldn't miss him either.

NBC has Tirico and Noah Eagle (who I like on football, never heard him do basketball). Prime has Ian Eagle and it looks like Harlan will be #2. No room for BA apparently.
