My wish for this board is to not have a running thread for every player that gets a response every single game based on if they had a good or bad game.

Last year it was Klay. This year it was JK. Who's the culprit next year? I vote Podz.

It was poole and then jk. Two players with nothing between their ears. I concur that it is kerr or jk who have to go. A house divided against itself cannot stand.

It was def Klay last season, without a doubt. His MPG (mentions per game) were off the chart and the advanced metrics were even worse.

Yea Klay was no 1 but jk wasn’t too far away. Though cp3 was up there as well. Jk hi jacking the offense wasn’t just a this season occurrence.

The lineup numbers dispute this narrative (in JK thread).

Just because you can find positive lineup data doesn’t mean jk wasn’t hi jacking the offense. Jk can also play within the offense which when he did he thrived. But his natural inclination is to hi jack the offense. Jk can be a useful player when he’s not hi jacking the offense to take contested mid range jump shots.
But the bigger question is can he fit with curry/jimmy/dray?

Some FAs to bring in on the cheap (vet min to 10M,). WIth midsized contracts going extinct, there might be a real bench here with one NTMLE and 4 vet mins (e.g. Horford, Nance, Batum, Trent Jr, Westbrook)

Good list. I put in bold who I would like the Warriors to at least think about.
At center, I'd like to see Warriors try to land Mark Williams from the Hornets, the guy the Lakers tried to get but who supposedly failed a physical, even though he played fine after the trade was canceled. He's a 15 and 10 guy who's very good when healthy. A sign and trade of JK for Cam Johnson would be the perfect deal for the Warriors.
I just hope the FO actually makes some moves here. You have a two year window to do something with this group. Make Curry's last years mean something. Don't stand pat.

If we're going under the radar, I'd try to cajole a useful player out of someone like John Collins - an athletic PF/C type that can (possibly) stretch the floor. There's a big money gamble that'll be possible on KP but I can't imagine dray and KP on the same team. There will be options for a smaller dollar amount for folks like brook.
I'm sure there are terrible underlying numbers to Collins but considering the disasters he's played for, I'm hopeful he can be a reclamation project in the wiggins mold. I believe he's about 20m/yr. I'd much rather take a shot on collins than trying vuc or overpaying for lauri. young enough to have something else we're not seeing and he could turn into a slightly bigger PJ (another person to target).
I think Turner was an option right up until they just made the conf finals again
unless they get swept I don't see them moving on from him

I wanted Turner at the deadline. Now he's almost certainly off the board. They still need a big if they ever want to beat a team like Denver in the postseason.
If the Dubs trade Draymond, they lose their defensive leader and intimidator, as well as someone who clicks better than anyone with Steph. Don't see that happening.
What would it take to get JJJ from the Griz? I've read JK, MM, and a pick. If that's the case, in a heartbeat.
What about Walker Kessler? His scouting report says that he doesn't switch well on D. Can that be fixed? If yes, he's a defensive stopper and rebounder that fits under the cap, scores in double digits, is still young, and is way cheaper than anybody else on the board.
That said, can Post or TJD improve their games enough to let Looney go? (If they do any of the above, I assume he's gone anyway -- and I've always liked his game.) If Post or TJD are included in a trade, maybe they re-sign Looney as a BU who knows the system cold. He's been a solid performer for a long time.
And yes, they need a BU PG. Podz isn't it.

The warriors need to fill two spots around those 3 and the list of players who fit with them is super short. They would need to be three point shooters and one needs to be a playmaker/poa defender and the other needs to be a rim protector.
They also need players who can win games while they load manage the core three.

It's not just lineup data - it's him improving the play of our two best players, at least according to net rating. It's also him having so few minutes with the two lineups that seem the most intuitive (and they were dominant in a tiny sample size). 24 possessions total, all year, for jk with Steph/dray/podz and one of buddy/moody. 24!?!?!?? There are ~8-9000 possessions in a regular season. 24?!?!?!??
Btw, I agree that he hijacked the offense at times but I also think our offense could use a bit of hijacking. There was a better balance to strike and I do fault jk for not getting there more often. But Kerr needed to be more patient with those growing pains. JK strikes me as a kid who needs to feed off the coach's confidence not someone who can thrive with the lack of faith this staff had in him. At the end of the day, if he doesn't get hurt, or it's two weeks and not two months, we may have seen the best of him here and it might have really helped.
I don't think your question will be relevant because he'll either get traded or Steve just won't try it. He told us jk and Jimmy couldn't play together but then he had no choice but to play them both. it certainly seemed to work for long stretches against the wolves.

I like the folks you bolded. I doubt we could afford Brown, Grimes, or Brogdon but everyone else should be reasonably cheap.
Boucher, Trent jr, Nance, could be tax payer mle level and I'd be in.

JJJ somehow only makes 23.5 in his last season next year so we could get there through moody, podz, buddy. Jackson would be perfect next to dray and young enough that I'd give them a lot of our picks (2frps + 3 swaps?).
With Jackson being a true stretch 5, we could keep jk and, all of a sudden, have a huge lineup of Steph, Jimmy, jk, dray, JJJ. Tyus Jones, Boucher, and laravia as vet min signings and now we're cooking with gas.
Looney and gp2 may both be back on vet min deals. The dubs will have the roster space and I don't know who is offering them real contracts.
