Lot of crazy trades proposed but you and me think alike. Don't know enough about LaRavia but sure and could see Mccain start vs grimes but either way those 3 will take 95% of guard minutes. Regardless overall strategy makes sense
Morey has repeatedly mentioned 9 guys/slots only when talking about next year Maxey/Embiid/PG/Mccain/Bona/Edwards/ Grimes / #3 pick # 35 pick. With 3 you keep it simple and take the start potential in bailey who will slot behind PG, with 35 (or move up) you take another big, but the glaring hole is still 4.
Morey expects Oubre/EG/Drum to opt in and since he doesn't mention as part of the future I look at them as matching salary for the young 4 - Jabari Smith is high on that list for me, Eason would be too, Aldama in S&T maybe, Don't love him for us but Kuminga is out there, but Jabari is a great fit - someone young who can shoot corner 3 doesn't need the ball can play team defense and rebound. Ace needs time but has tons of potential and can grew into role behind PG. It's the easy answer Bailey and best big and trade Oubre/gordon/drum salaries for best young 4 that fits us they can find.
