Kornet has been an amazing under rated bench guy all year long. Nice to see him finally do it in the playoffs as he hasn't been able to hit the same gear until the other night.

I can't find it now but somewhere I found that he was the only player in the Bbref database to pull a 150 ortg in 1000+ minutes ever, or something like that, and I'd wager his 152/100 ortg/drtg spread might be an all time number for 1000+ minutes as well.

Game 5 was a great success. JT gone, KP done, we won by 20 anyway. It was a proud farewell to the home crowd. I don't expect to win this one though. Knicks have been waiting for this game for 25 years. I think they are gonna get the job done in game 6 at MSG. They are fools if they cannot.

If they win on friday they wouldn’t play till monday so no. They would have some rest. Again i just think we gonna fall short because idk if we can keep getting this scoring from white and co. If softzingis was healthy and contributing i would feel different.

Since it is likely that the Hero we deserve in......... Kornet.. can't play 48 minutes (or can he?) and Same for Al, why not give Queta a 5-8 minute stint just to crash the boards and give a hard foul or 2???

One of the biggest reasons we won was tremendous energy. Queta always plays with Energy? No one is suggesting playing him starters minutes but Damn Joe acts like he can't do anything positive.

Speaking of Kornet. Throughout the year my complaint or lack of true Love was never about his unassuming offense and meshing with his teammates but rather my belief that he isn't a "good enough" defender at the playoff level. And despite having some regular season games of respectable defense, calling Luke a Defensive stopper would have been ludicrous. And Yet last game he was a Goliath on defense and not just inside but all over the court. I mean how was that even possible? I get being hyped up and all. But it's like a career high vertical jumper of 30 inches gets hyped and jumps 45 inches???

I think other than trying to win the game, my top Priority is to watch Luke closely. To see if he can even get anywhere near the same defensive impact. It won't explain how Luke never played a game like this ever before, But I for sure will be leading the "re-sign" Luke express if he does it again!!

It's not the quantity, it's the quality.

Often that's a saying to shut down an argument that more is better. That's not what I'm saying. I LOVE 3 point shots. I hate 12 second size up contested 3 point shots. Speed up the tempo. Get more paint touches. Still shoot the same number of 3s. But work JUST a little harder to take a few more that have a chance for an offensive rebound. Don't take as many YOU shots, especially when a teammate NOT you gave a huge effort to get you the ball with a defensive play. That's the way they played yesterday. Keep it up. Tatum take notes while you're out.

Agreed, 15 guys in the bench u gotta find out who can ball..
Queta is a work in progress but u would think 10 12 minutes a game especially on D would help
