FWIW, I think your initial decision/ ultimately what happened was correct. Kinda sucks you didn’t get to say hello, but nicer overall that you let him enjoy the moment.
Well we did make eye contact for a second so I will always have that.
In my mind I was thinking wow, there goes the greatest coach ever.
And then his mind he was probably thinking, what a scrub.
