Hart had one big breakdown for which he was solely responsible — that I saw. And one leads to another. So maybe he’s talking about himself?

He’s not a smart defender.

He also had a *second team-worst -24

Seems worthy of a suspension

And a very odd thing to do

1. What he’s saying and what I said are two different things. No where did I say BOS Is better without Tatum. I said the way Tatum played to end the 3rd quarter allowed us to come back. I’ve been calling out every time he chooses ISO chuck fests since game 1. I do the same for Brunson. It’s not sustainable and let’s the defense off the hook, opening the door for the opposition. And I’m a bigger Tatum fan than most non Celtics fans on RGM. So much so I got banned from this board by a global mod who got mad at me for hyping Tatum up.

2.

16 min mark. Discusses Tatum & Brown were playing too much ISO basketball before the injury, but now the offense is flowing. Brown getting 50 pts via 26 & 12 instead of just scoring 50 pts is infinitely better for the Celtics. He’s right. But all he does is watch every second of Celtics basketball & get paid to analyze the team. what does he know.

3. You purposely left out that a HOF player said the same thing.

4. They also said the same thing on Knicks film school in the first 10 mins.

you and the squad would be doing an insane amount of victory laps if you were me right now. But I don’t need to. My victory lap is being proven right the very next game. I get calling me out if I was wrong. But I was right. What’s wrong with you

Mikal is doing what you are suppose to do communicate...what is Hart doing? He's jogging back and then after being told where to go he doesn't do it because it would have been extra effort. I typically love Harts effort but this play was on him. He needs to first sprint back. Then when Mikal communicates where he needs to go he needs to do it even if it means to run harder.

KAT gets caught in no mans land for no reason...but the play starts by not getting back in transition.

It's pretty aggravating that we are in the 2nd round and guys have absolutely no clue where they are supposed to be defensively and they're not communicating/making extra effort. This is stuff that should be hashed out like in December :noway:

not really, especially with so many moving parts. but will let you cook. we hurting.

the lapses are costly and too frequent. periods of time they look like they have it down, but then don't sustain it. that living energy of the game. celtics been there for literally years. we really just starting as constructed.

not excusing. just saying.

You make a good point. This is still a work in progress, and I mean yeah, I'm being hyperbolic, but it's just so frustrating that the guys have been together since September and still aren't communicating defensively.

Like open your mouths and talk to each other FFS!!!

Dick Grabber seems to be friends with a rapist so it's all starting to make sense as to why he felt comfortable enough to sexually assault Josh Hart.

Honestly I hope Josh doesn't let this go and clocks him tomorrow. Nothing crazy to get kicked out, but if he's driving in for a lay up, he's hitting the floor. Hard.

Like this got me mad for real. What kind of person thinks it's okay to sexually assault someone over hoops? If this were the streets he'd get shot in the head over something this brazen. You don't play those games with anyone.

Tatum killed their flow in that 3rd quarter (despite also making some big shots) and everyone else was way out of sync. Now, they have a chance to run an actual offense where everyone is involved. And as we just saw last night, talented teams that play that way are a **** buzzsaw.

Brown def has the chops to be a top tier go to guy for a few games despite his struggles, White & KP can get hot, Pritchard can and has dropped 20 pts this series, Jrue & Horford can provide two way support.

Series ain't over yet. Knicks have to come with that same fire like they did last night, which was never in question even when BOS went up big.

They still have talent but their shot creation takes a massive hit without him, especially hunting switches as KAT has done a good job on Brown.

That would assume he was looking to create shots for others

I've been a Tatum is on the same level as Luka guy for years not b/c I think he's as good a shot maker / scorer, but b/c his floor game could be absolutely elite while dropping a somewhat efficient 25. But he's gone away from that this series.

BOS was up 72-58 at the 9:06 mark in the 3rd quarter.

Here's their half court stuff from Tatum from that point
7:48 Jayson Tatum misses 30-foot three point pullup jump shot 72 63
5:37 Jayson Tatum makes 15-foot two point shot 79 71
3:57 Jayson Tatum makes 15-foot two point shot 83 76
3:22 Jayson Tatum misses 29-foot three point pullup jump shot 83 78
2:11 Jayson Tatum misses 25-foot three point pullup jump shot 83 81
1:35 Jayson Tatum misses 26-foot three point step back jumpshot 83 81
12.1 Jayson Tatum misses 26-foot three point step back jumpshot 85 86

They were rolling when he was moving the rock and picking his spots in the flow of the offense. Then they went to Tatum bringing up the ball, dribblign it for 20 seconds, step back chuck fest. Just b/c he made a couple doesn't discount the impact it has on momentum and the flow of the offense. It's the same reason why I call out Thibs when he goes to SMB too early. It's hard to get your mojo back once you destroy it.

I'd bank on BOS looking a lot better IF they stick with team basketball. Will it turn into a W? We'll see as that depends on which Knicks team shows up

Proudly grouping yourself with the NBA sphere that hates on the knicks to talk poorly on a guy who went 16/28 instead of crediting Brunson. Loser behavior but don't let me stop you from being your true self. Id just rather gas up Brunson for outdueling Tatum. But thats just me not being a lame. Too bad the sports guy, his buddy house, Barkley, Reggie Miller, and that blowhard on first take dont agree with me. My arguement would be so much better with their support.

Hmmm....

I agree with Boston being talented enough even without Tatum to be like the 4th best team in the East. But I think regardless of him disrupting the flow of their offense when he tries to hero ball, Boston with Tatum is a championship level club. Without him? Not a chance.

Boston with Tatum is a championship team. Without him they are nowhere near that level. Tatum is elite and doesn't resort to grabbing meat to win games.
