When did it become okay to hold guys around their waist? I see that all the time. Can’t breathe on a shooter but hugging a guy around his waist is okay? So you can stop a guy from getting to his shot, but not even a touch on the release is okay? Makes little sense.

And even if it is the rule, grabbing a guy around the waist, let alone the genitalia, is not a basketball play.

It is fully prom-picture wrapped around the waist. And see Horford and Brown both doing it.

That guy is a jackass for real. On what planet is Boston better without a hall of fame level talent?

Should we listen to KD or Bill simmons and a bunch of ex football players? Lmao

I hate KD but he's right here.

Boston with Tatum is a championship team. Without him they are nowhere near that level. Tatum is elite and doesn't resort to grabbing meat to win games.

Tatum averaged 7.2 APG in the NBA Finals last year, which is how they won the chip. The idea that he's a ball stopper iso chucker and the team is better without him is one of the worst arguments i've seen

In a game his teammates started missing shots he went 16/28 and more importantly Brunson took over and the nerd wants to call us casuals cause Barkley has his back

Tell me MDB - is what I wrote below what the casuals are accusing me of?

That would assume he was looking to create shots for others

I've been a Tatum is on the same level as Luka guy for years not b/c I think he's as good a shot maker / scorer, but b/c his floor game could be absolutely elite while dropping a somewhat efficient 25. But he's gone away from that this series.

BOS was up 72-58 at the 9:06 mark in the 3rd quarter.

Here's their half court stuff from Tatum from that point
7:48 Jayson Tatum misses 30-foot three point pullup jump shot 72 63
5:37 Jayson Tatum makes 15-foot two point shot 79 71
3:57 Jayson Tatum makes 15-foot two point shot 83 76
3:22 Jayson Tatum misses 29-foot three point pullup jump shot 83 78
2:11 Jayson Tatum misses 25-foot three point pullup jump shot 83 81
1:35 Jayson Tatum misses 26-foot three point step back jumpshot 83 81
12.1 Jayson Tatum misses 26-foot three point step back jumpshot 85 86

They were rolling when he was moving the rock and picking his spots in the flow of the offense. Then they went to Tatum bringing up the ball, dribblign it for 20 seconds, step back chuck fest. Just b/c he made a couple doesn't discount the impact it has on momentum and the flow of the offense. It's the same reason why I call out Thibs when he goes to SMB too early. It's hard to get your mojo back once you destroy it.

I'd bank on BOS looking a lot better IF they stick with team basketball. Will it turn into a W? We'll see as that depends on which Knicks team shows up

Hmmm....

I agree with Boston being talented enough even without Tatum to be like the 4th best team in the East. But I think regardless of him disrupting the flow of their offense when he tries to hero ball, Boston with Tatum is a championship level club. Without him? Not a chance.

Oh absolutely. They won last year b/c of Tatum doing all the stuff that doesn’t show up in highlights IE being able to guard DAL Cs on a switch. Did you think me pointing out this specific time period in the game where he hurt the team means I think they’re better without him?

Put Hukporti into the game with the sole mission of getting ejected for kicking Brown's nutsac up into his chest cavity

Lying about what someone said on a message board and I’m the nerd?

The board knew it was a pathetic circle jerk of man babies, but we didn’t know it started with yall getting hard over instagram highlights. Sorry for shattering your casual bubble. I’ll keep it simple from now on.

Put ball in round hole. Win game. Better?

No, not really cause at this point I'm disappointed with myself for wasting my time engaging with a dork who thinks poorly of basketball fans who enjoy highlights when he spends his free time listening to the sport guy pod.

Also, you're getting kinda weird. rein it in. Its unbecoming of a mod. This place has standards.

knicks are more susceptible againsts playstyles that pass the rock vigorously because some knicks guys are late to rotate and/or are ballwatching and overhelping rather than staying home

Have him back down in the paint whichever guard that switches on to him. I don't care if KAT barrels through him and gets called for the offensive foul, I WANT TO SEE BLOOD! DO some Ron Artest/Draymond Green schit.

I'll be honest. I think Thibs dosnt help Kat. However, Kat needs to do some soul searching as a player and figure out what he can get better at. We all know for certain he needs to stop whining about no calls and stop with the silly fouls.

Everything last night was the opposite of this. Still not adjusting to use Mitch at the right times either.

WE WERE MARVELING AT HOW KORNET WAS CHANGING THE OUTCOOME OF THE GAME WHEN WE HAD SOMEONE ON THE BENCH THAT COULD LITERALLY DO THE SAME THING IF NOT BETTER. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

This and I think he should try to exploit mismatches more. You know try to do things that could get your star whistle treatment  He should probably demand the ball more when smaller guys are guarding him on the post.

Return to New York Knicks
