The alternative, in the real world, is that both are elite top 3-4 players in the world and the likelihood is that it’ll be the others who decide who wins game 7.

Interesting to see who you have higher if these two are around 3-4? No hate, just curious.

Poorly written by me lol. I meant they’re both in the top 4. I have it joker, Giannis, Luka, SGA in that order

MPJ's shooting form definitely looks off. Last year Denver blew a huge lead in game 7. but the way they executed in OT in game 3 was inspiring. i think they take this.

Jokic is 1, Shai, Luka and Giannis are all somewhere in the 2/4 range.

2025 is the first NBA season where Top 2 MVP candidates (Jokic and SGA) faced each other in playoffs that went to a Game 7 since...

1984 season with Larry Bird vs Bernard King Top 2 MVP battle of Celtics vs Knicks that went to Game 7 (Bird's first MVP)

Jokic is still the best player in the world, but this series confirms to me that SGA was the MVP this year. He really dropped 33/5/6 and won 68 games with these cats. Chet didn't even play half the season. This Thunder team is NOT stacked and had absolutely no business sniffing close to 68 wins.

So we'll pretend they're the deepest team in the NBA by a wide margin..? (SGA is still great)

A narrative that is completely overblown. They have an average 2nd option, a 3rd option that played 30 games, and a bunch of average to above average role players that play defense. I'm taking Boston's roster over the Thunder's in a heartbeat.

You never know who will show up for Denver. Braun was bad in game 5 and 6. Now he was very good. Russ has been bad for like 4 games straight. MPJ was good. AG didn’t score, but did other things.

I knew joker wasn’t gonna be close to 44 points from game 5. He had 15 points less. Jamal actually had 3 less points in this game compared to game 5 so they really needed the role players to score a lot more.

Boston probably has more quality than the Thunder. Boston has Pritchard/Hauser/Horford as their main bench players. Thunder has Wallace/Joe/Wiggins/Caruso/Keinrich/Jaylin....in any case, the second-best depth?
is that exaggerated?

Last night the Thunder got worked on the boards and Denver got to the line more so the difference was effort and Denver was more aggressive.

If Gordon is truly hurt I'd prefer the Thunder to advance. I don't want to see Minnesota play another injured team.

People really question how stacked OKC is?

Chet- DPOY candidate when healthy ( actually probably 2# behind Victor)
J Will - all star
Dort - elite wing defender
Caruzo- one of best POA defenders in nba, if not the best
I Hart- one of best passing Cs nba has

Bench of Wiggins, Joe, Wallace, Jaylin Williams.

That last guy, Jaylin Williams, who's OKCs 10th best player, would be 6-7th best player on Nuggets.

Pacers vs Wolves in finals, battle of who loses star play first. 8-)

Nuggets are amazing and I had the best time watching the game tonight and I really wanna get caught up in Nuggets fever and believe they're gonna win the championship, but I just keep remembering my prediction before the series...

Having a great defensive team is nice and dandy, but every team picks up their defensive effort in the playoffs. Ind and Denver for example. What usually separates teams in the playoffs is tough shot makers, and guys who can execute at a high level in half court offense. Outside of SGA, I don’t trust anybody on OKC to do that.

Depth and youth matter more in the regular season. Veterans, tough shot makers and guys who can create for themselves and others matters more in postseason.
