I mean Brandon Ingram signed a 3 yr $120M extension few months ago and that dude is barely on court half the time...I know Nets are the only team with cap space but I think Randle would be expecting for a better offer than $30M AAV which would make him like 70th highest paid during next season...that's way below his level of play, especially considering his playoff performance.
Yes and no. No other team is giving him five years. $150 is a lot of guaranteed money. More than he’ll get elsewhere. The one potential suitor that can cut money and is a decent fit is the Pistons, but I don’t think they’d do 150 guaranteed. Plus, we could structure it as a 4+1, giving him a player option in year 5, which would mean if he’s still at an all star level, he could get one last big payday at age 34 instead of 35. Is that enough to sell him on an average of 30 per? I don’t know.
They indicated that if Randle opts out, we have about 50m under the second apron to re-sign Randle, Naz, and NAW. If Randle signed 5/150 with 8% raises, I think it’d start next year at about 26. Can we squeeze Naz/NAW into the other 24? I doubt it but maybe.
I just don't see any way where all 3 - Randle, Naz, NAW stay here next season. I feel like NAW is most likely gone and Naz depends on how things shake out.
Well, other teams might not be offering him 5 years but I also think he would be looking for better AAV than $30M AAV. Like I think something like 4 yr $150M might make sense for both the parties. Randle did already once take a team friendly discounted deal in 2021 when he was Knicks when he was coming off a All-NBA season. I am not sure he will take another one
