Any updates on whether Yaxel Lendeborg is entering the draft or committing to transferring? I know PF is the least of our needs, but I just love his game and would be thrilled to add him to this team.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
We should get a big because I'm pretty sure we're losing one of the ones we got now..... Get a 3rd big to bake in the background maybe in osceloa and for depth sake because of our injury historyRookieStar wrote:Ok guys.. Im intrigued by a 3rd big..

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
Feel like we should be able to replace Cole and JI in the draft if we keep our picks.
2 interesting playmakers that can go lottery or 20th. Egor Demin and Nolan Traore.

He recently said it is 50/50. Said if he had a top 20 pick guarantee he would go to the NBA. Before the combine he was leaning Michigan, but has gotten good feedback about his stock apparently.

That wouldn't really be a win now move. Philadelphia would want a package like Wendell, #16, and #25. Then rookies usually take a year or two to play winning ball.Orl_Magic wrote:Trade up to 3 and draft VJ.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
LMAO, that offer wouldn't get you 15th pick let alone 3# pick in solid draft.
Seek more for. Black, Suns swap, two top 5 protected picks from 2027 & 2029 or Franz + 16# pick for 3# pick and George.

- when did you cease being a Magic fan and become a 6ers fan?

But no, really. That's fair value for 76ers. Would i do such trade? Hell no. But that is type of haul they will be fishing for, to plug young star with Maxey and Embiid, and get rid of George.
3rd overall pick has history of being very high value one.
Luka Dončić was 3# pick traded for 5# ( Trae) + top 5 protected pick next year ( turned into 10# pick )
Before that Tatum was 3rd overall pick traded for 1# pick and conditional pick that has some strange protections and had high probability of not being converted
Current finals MVP, leagues former MVP, current DPOY and additional two top 10 players were all 3# picks - (Brown, Embiid, Mobley, , Luka, Tatum).
And posters think they can swap it for non lottery pick, backup fat , injury prone c/PF and some worthless late first round picks that are sometimes sold for money
Why stop there, let's offer Dallas top 59 protected second round pick and Jett for 1# pick. After all, Jett is 21, he can always develop into Jordan

Maybe KCP for SGA, Isaac for Jokić

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
I agree...that offer gets you nowhere near #3...and, nobody after #2 is safe enough imo to cash in the chips it would take. I'd investigate moving up to get Maluach...but only realistically if he slides and it were part of a bigger trade.
Tankathon has him going at #8 and another one I read (ESPN maybe?) had us taking Yaxel and Maluach going #17
Definitely craziest year for mocks being all over the place that I can remember.

Would love him with one of our firsts.
He is plug and play immediately & extremely versatile.
Someone who can defend multiple positions, stretch the floor, and grab a rebound and push/initiate the offense.
Could be the steal of the draft.

Here's something to ponder...if Jase Richardson drops to #16 - do you still give up a first for Sexton (if that was the plan)?

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
We're going for a championship next year. I don't want any projects. Either draft a sure thing or a three-four year player or trade for bench depth.

Let's just draft sure things and only make good trades and make players sign perfect team-friendly contracts...done!

I still don't think 16 is on the table for Sexton or Simons. Just doesn't line up with trade value around the league IMO. I could be wrong here of course, I hope not though. Now we arguably are in a position where we absolutely have to do something because the offense is so unbelievably bad, but I still maintain that is just bad value, but maybe tolerable if they are dumping bad future salary in the deal.
Jase or Traore or Wolf (rising for me ) or Coward or Sorber or Clayton at 4/21 + RFA rights is certainly a debate against Sexton at 1/19. Maybe he extends a little below or around the Monk contract? So maybe Sexton at 5/100 (meh) all together or something. I know people don't want more rookies, whatever, we do need help, but how much are you willing to lose on a deal for good not great help is the question here.
I don't know what the definite right answer is. I can say for me I would rather have 16. I think they will feel the same and will try to move 25 and maybe 2nd(s) ultimately. We know they don't value 2nds and they have some really interesting ones coming up so that is something to watch as well. I think they will play hardball and the teams with expiring guards will realize they don't have a ton of leverage. Again I could be way wrong

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
- I agree we need a trade
- Would love to shoot higher than a 6th man type, not sure it is out there
- Even given how badly we need help now there are still prospects at 16 I would prefer over some of the expiring guards
- Fine with Sexton or Simons at the price I think they should cost. Skeptical about extending, would like to see their playoff play here 1st.
