Such a low bar.
No thanks.
Exactly I rather have a down year. Maybe we get lucky in the lottery and trade the pick for a proven player. I don’t think tatum is even going to be back next year. Maybe in the end.
This team is gonna be without 3 of the following Tatum, holiday, kp, Hauser and Horford next year.
Combine that with Joe coaching abilities and you're looking at a 45 win team at best.
Probably closer to 38.
People don't understand just how badly it's gonna be here next year. Too good to thank. Too bad to be serious. The worst place to be.

How does one have a down year in the East without going scorched earth?
The East is terrible.
Pacers, Knicks and Cavs and outside of that it’s a steaming pile of ****.

Yes but what’s the point? They’re not making a championship run. Tatum is likely out for a majority of the season.

All I can see us doing is running it back and hoping Tatum can return in Feb/March and make a run in the playoffs if it’s safe for him to do so.
In reality it will be a nothing season.

They made it clear through the media they weren't going to do that even before the injury. Know where they're paying a half billion dollars and your best player is going to miss the whole season. We're ****.

Playing for a playoffs knowing you won’t get to the finals is a waste for me. This team needs anotner big time player. Bye bye to KP.

From my understanding, they can't even trade KP and bring it in any salary back. They have to get under the apron.
It's going to be pretty bad around here next year. And frankly so is next year because it's going to take a year back before Tatum can even really start to get into what he used to be. Assuming he can do it at all.
But we all the Spurs are 2027 pick so we can't be out here tanking anyway.

I wasn’t saying the same roster.
Was just saying it won’t be drastically different.
Yes next year will probably be a pointless waste of time.
That’s the reality when your best player ruptures his Achilles.
**** sucks.
