Last year's rotation against IND

Brunson
DDV
Hart
OG 2.5 games
Shart

Deuce
Burks
Precious
Mitch played for 12 minutes in one game.

After injuries Deuce/Precious both got 2 starts.

We pushed that team to 7. They haven't really changed since then.

Brunson/Mikal/Hart/OG/KAT
Deuce/Mitch etc

Much better team than the one the Pacers faced last season. Knicks should be able to close them out this time around. Fuq Haliburton!

Nah, I'm well aware of what he brings to the table. He's immensely valuable to us.

But this was not a good series for him because Mazzula turned him into an offensive liability, particularly when KAT was on the floor. It's not a coincidence he had the worst (albeit by a slim margin) offensive rating among our rotation players in the series at 107.2.

In the end it didn't matter because the team collectively outplayed the Celtics, but I think our offense regularly had real issues when he was on the court. So I was of the opinion that his minutes should be reduced and coincide less with KAT's.

I think the Pacers should be a better series for him. I love Josh Hart, he's great for us. But the Celtics series was a tough matchup for him offensively. I stand by that. But he contributed in other areas.

Thibs and Mitch are the only remnants from the 2020-21 "We Here" season that ushered in this new era of Knicks basketball.

They have both been key figures in the franchise's resurgence.

We're not where we are today without Thibs.

I don't think he's perfect, and I certainly don't agree with all of his decisions, including tonight when he left the starters in the game.

But he has done an exceptional job coaching the Knicks overall. He's a Knick legend.

I think some criticism is fair, but I wish we weren't so quick to advocate firing him. He's an integral part of the fabric and the history of this franchise.

That's a whole lotta words that fail to say I was wrong in calling jHart a Kirkland brand westbrook in a close out playoff game against the defending champs when he ended up having a triple double, sir.

Love this for mitch

He busted his @ss to come back this season. and hell this series was a microcosm of his career started off very impactful then the adversity with the ft bullcht only for him to come through it and have a huge impact tonight in closing out the series. His contribution to this series was big.

KnicksGod wrote:So predictable that the narrative in history will be that the Knicks won bc Tatum got hurt. I’m not a big fan of the way we’ve played but the first comebacks in Boston were not that much of a fluke … the games looked even for most of those two (eye test > score).

Then we had Tatum go nuts in G4, after a blowout in G3, and we had thoroughly beaten them by the time Tatum is injured … game was over

Yet that’ll be the narrative

No it won't, no one will care in a year or 2, hell no one will remember

yeeeeeeeeeeeees :cuddle
what a performance man. all 7 rotation players were absolutely huge on both ends from the start.
Thibs did a good job making sure, the guys came out ready - and cutting Payne from the rotation.
But my goodness had that mofo me sweating in the 4th that nobody gets injured. this subborness is a 10/10.
Oh and now shut the **** up with the bad KAT takes forever.

Mitch now has another 4 days to improve on his FT shooting. I expect massive improvement now that he’s had a taste of what it’s like to shoot them like Towns or Brunson. Plus, he got all that love from the Garden crowd.

Congratulations, Knicks fans. Well-deserved. :D Looking forward to the Knicks-Pacers series as a neutral spectator. Should be fun.
