Aaron Gordon Could Miss Game 7 With Left Hamstring Strain

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat May 17, 2025 1:05 am

Aaron Gordon has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain and his status for Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals is in doubt. Gordon suffered the injury in the final minutes of the Denver Nuggets' Game 6 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.

The two teams will have an extra day of rest before Game 7 on Sunday.

Gordon is averaging 16.8 points and 7.3 rebounds in the playoffs and has a pair of game-winning plays. Gordon dealt with calf and leg injuries this season.

My takeaway from this is that it is a grade 1 strain and not a 2. My reasoning is that a 1 is a 7-10 day injury, and a 2 is a month or more. I don’t think they can justify a doubtful status on a more severe strain.
