FGA Per PlayerDirk is our primary offensive hub and, and his unique gravity opens things up for everyone else. The Dirk-Hill two-man game is damn near unstoppable with Dirk's lethal shooting and Hill's slashing. Garland is a dynamite third option who can drive, shoot, and pass at a high level. OG will focus on finishing plays off the attention drawn by our three stars. Defensively, Dikembe locks down the paint, and we have plenty of rangy wings to take on perimeter threats.
Matchup- Initial assignments are straight up. The key here is to slow down Kobe, and OG gives us as good a chance as anyone. Dirk should be fine on young KG who is a very inefficient scorer subsisting on long jumpers. KAT's three-point shooting could cause some problems, but he doesn't really take them at the volume you'd expect, and Deke should be able to take away his inside buckets which is still a win for us.
- We spam the two-man game with Dirk interacting with both Hill and Garland. The attention drawn by Dirk allows keeps KG away from the rim, allowing both ballhandlers to go at KAT who isn't much of a rim protector.
- The bench gap is pretty heavily in our favour. 2025 Simmons is essentially a 5, and 15 minutes of him combined with other non-threats like Delly and Birdman just isn't viable offensively.
Good luck Larry.
